This is a hands‑on leadership role managing day‑to‑day production, team performance, and quality standards on the factory floor. This is a 6‑month maternity cover contract, with a clear opportunity for progression into a newly planned Production Manager structure for candidates who perform strongly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and supervise daily production operations on the day shift; Manage a cross‑functional production team to meet output and quality targets; Ensure all production is carried out in line with HACCP, BRC and food safety standards; Drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives; Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across all production areas; Handle day‑to‑day people management including attendance, performance and training; Ensure effective communication and handovers between shifts; Resolve operational and technical issues as they arise. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as a Shift Manager or Production Supervisor in food manufacturing; Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC and food safety standards; Experience managing teams in a fast‑paced production environment; Hands‑on approach with the ability to lead from the floor; Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills; Eligible to work in Ireland.
