  • SUMMARY OF ROLE: We are recruiting for a Shift Manager (Dayshift) for a specialised, market‑leading food production business based in Tallaght, Dublin 24. This is a hands‑on leadership role managing day‑to‑day production, team performance, and quality standards on the factory floor. This is a 6‑month maternity cover contract, with a clear opportunity for progression into a newly planned Production Manager structure for candidates who perform strongly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and supervise daily production operations on the day shift; Manage a cross‑functional production team to meet output and quality targets; Ensure all production is carried out in line with HACCP, BRC and food safety standards; Drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives; Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across all production areas; Handle day‑to‑day people management including attendance, performance and training; Ensure effective communication and handovers between shifts; Resolve operational and technical issues as they arise. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as a Shift Manager or Production Supervisor in food manufacturing; Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC and food safety standards; Experience managing teams in a fast‑paced production environment; Hands‑on approach with the ability to lead from the floor; Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills; Eligible to work in Ireland. RATE OF PAY: €70,000 per annum (salary position). WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, approximately 08:00–16:30 (flexibility required in line with production needs). Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Commercial Officer will have overall responsibility for the commercial strategy and performance of the group, including sales leadership, marketing strategy, business development and key customer relationships.
