Co-ordination of product trials and pre-production runs, for preparation for a successful handover to production Take ownership of the provision of all documentation relevant to trials such as nutritional analysis, shelf-life verification & cooking validations. Ensuring all ingredients, packaging and factory trial paperwork is available and correct. Ensures all packaging and raw materials are ordered and available for all factory trials. Alongside the R&D Manager, co-ordinate customer visits for factory trials and PPRs. Supporting business change in the use of best in class processes and systems (A3 problem solving etc) Responsible for the NPI Technologist and their training and development needs. Skills & Knowledge Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Level 2 Food Safety in Manufacturing Knowledge and understanding of current legislation, relevant to food manufacturing and product labelling. Good computer skills. This will include: Completing specifications in accordance with customer protocols ensuring data provided is accurate, valid, and compliant with customer requirements, relevant legislation and group polic Calculating and generating ingredient declarations in required customer forma Estimating meat content by both theoretical methods (QUID) and using laboratory analyses. Ensure that all data and/or claims that are linked with product specifications can be supported and are validated against customer requirements, legislation, group policy or third-party protocols (e.g. RSPO logo approval, Vegan Society etc.). Receive, evaluate and action as appropriate requests to amend/update specifications ensuring effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
