The Opportunity: Due to continued growth and demand, our client is seeking a Planning Practitioner with a minimum of 3 years' experience. You'll work as part of a highly skilled and collaborative team, leading planning projects of medium and large scale from inception to completion, while also mentoring junior colleagues and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead planner on a range of planning projects, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement. Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality planning documentation and reports. Act as primary point of contact for clients throughout project lifecycles. Undertake planning assessments, desk studies, field visits, and background research. Provide planning inputs across multi-disciplinary teams and sectors. Mentor and support junior staff as part of wider team development. Liaise with relevant authorities and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes. About You: A degree in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited). Minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience, ideally within a planning consultancy. Strong understanding of the Irish planning system and relevant legislation. Commercial awareness and experience working on complex projects across sectors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Enthusiastic about sustainability and contributing to meaningful change. Why Join? DublinOur client, an established planning practice is urgently looking to appoint a talented Assistant Town Planner to work from their offices in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career in the planning industry and work on a wide range of projects, from home extensions to large scale strategic housing developments. The candidate will assist Directors and Senior staff to deliver expert planning advice to their clients at all stages of the planning lifecycle and in time will develop your own client base. They work in a fast paced environment often with strict deadlines, so an ability to effectively manage your own workload and client expectations with supervision is expected. The successful candidate will likely have a Masters in Town Planning (RTPI accredited) and will have a strong ambition to achieve chartered planner status.
