Overview We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and ambitious retail manager to join the growing Pelco Group as Service Station Manager in our Centra | Texaco store in Robinstown, Mullingar.

Job Role Purpose Ensure the site operates efficiently and effectively and provides our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times. To deliver on key store targets through effective management of people and operations.
Job Role Specifics Take final responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the site
Ensure the store reflects company standards of merchandising, presentation and customer care
Achieve sales, margins, wastage targets
Implement HACCP, maintaining the highest standard of hygiene and staff compliance
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the shop area; ensure equipment, signs and lights are clean and fully illuminated
Ensure store compliance with relevant legislation and implement procedures as required
Manage employee rostering and annual leave; maintain accurate and secure records
Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs
Control stocktaking and overheads as per annual budget
Team Management Approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork; foster a positive workplace atmosphere
Develop the team to meet required standards through training, coaching, performance and probation reviews, and training programme planning with support office
Develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment
Stock Management Full responsibility for site stock range and processes
Implement planograms and ensure correct range in store
Merchandise shop area to maximise product performance
Perform weekly/monthly stock takes
Back Office Management Daily cash reconciliation & cash control
Daily bank lodgements
Management of cash discrepancies and reporting to Management Accountant
Prime data entry – delivery dockets, invoices, cash reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, wet stock data
Sales reporting
Operational Deal with breakdowns/system failures and report to relevant department
Organise contractor call outs and reporting to relevant department
Deal with security issues/breaches
Customer Service Ensure customer satisfaction is the priority and consistently deliver an exceptional service
Take final responsibility for timely follow-through on promises/queries and customer complaints; escalate to Support Office as appropriate
Health, Safety and Welfare Management Lead by example by complying with standards and safe working practices per applicable health and safety legislation
Take final responsibility within the service station for safe working practices by staff, contractors and visitors
Ensure health, safety and welfare of staff, customers, contractors and visitors while on the premises
Job requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in a Retail management position (Assistant Manager or Site Manager)
Passion for retail, strong work ethic with ownership and accountability
Proven people management and leadership capability
Experience reading and actioning reports
Excellent communication and delegation skills
