Responsibilities Allocate daily duties and manage the Maintenance team to ensure all work meets required standards and policies. Support the Health & Safety Officer in reviewing and implementing the Health & Safety Policy, Statement, Risk Register, and Hazard Logs. Oversee fire safety compliance, including equipment maintenance, door checks, drills, and register updates. Ensure Infection Control and emergency procedures are followed in collaboration with the clinical team. Inspect vacant rooms and address maintenance issues promptly. Plan, delegate, and monitor all maintenance and repair works, maintaining high standards for buildings, grounds, and vehicles. Manage maintenance records, contractor service logs, and preventive maintenance audits. Ensure compliance and upkeep of essential building infrastructure (utilities, IT, phones, broadband). Support the CFO with IT and phone system policies, ensuring equipment is functional and secure. Oversee waste management, recycling, and cleanliness of service areas. Plan and deliver staff fire safety training and refresher sessions. Manage maintenance staff rosters, leave approvals, appraisals, and performance reviews. Handle purchasing, stock control, and asset tagging in line with company policy. Participate in logistics planning for deliveries, projects, and events. Act as Duty Manager on weekends and ensure adequate non-clinical department coverage. Conduct regular audits and submit reports as required.
