As an HL7 Integration Specialist - EHR Systems, you will serve as a liaison between end-users and provide advisory support to build and maintain health data integration components, collaborating with other information management resources within the growing Epic application team. We’re particularly interested in individuals with experience of interface engines, integrations, interoperability, and health data. Epic training will be provided. Primary responsibilities of the HL7 Integration Specialist - EHR Systems: Act as a vital link between end-users and our technology solutions, focusing on HL7 standards and health system integrations. Design, develop, and maintain integration components within Epic EHR system, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Collaborate with our diverse team to translate complex business requirements into practical healthcare IT solutions. Assist with building interfaces and data conversion for Epic EMR implementation along with post go-live support following deployment of new interface or a new EMR implementation. Review, build, test, and implement new functionality via System Upgrades and Special Updates. Responsible for development and documentation of internal procedures to use in conjunction with Epic applications. Offer technical guidance on significant projects and mentor junior team members in Epic interface and system integrations. Required qualifications: Experience with HL7 (Health Level Seven Standard) or any other Health Data exchange including HL7 FHIR, HL7 CDA, Web Services and HL7 v2. Experience working with developing interfaces on integration / interoperability engines (at least one) such as InterSystems, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Mirth Connect, Microsoft BizTalk, Corepoint, Qvera, IBM Integration Bus, WebSphere Message Broker or other similar. Understanding of software testing approaches and prior experience performing unit testing, integration testing, etc. Experience mentoring and providing subject matter expertise to junior engineers.
