The Fabricator / Welder works as part of the production team of Fabrication Technicians, Metal Fabricators and Welders and is integral to overall production operations. Job description The Assembly Operative is part of the team that assembles and prepares parts of steel structures and modular components for dispatch. The components are fabricated locally prior to assembly and require meticulous attention to detail to ensure seamless installation on site. This role would be particularly suited to those with experience in either carpentry or assembly of steel components. Health and Safety is a priority; therefore, in the role of Assembly Operative, you are required to adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety instructions. Main duties include: Measuring, squaring, bolting, banding, and assembling steel components. Ensuring all parts are clean and meet the high standards required. Maintenance can occur on a routine preventative basis or can be required on an unscheduled basis.
