Macroom Supply Point is a strategic spray drying factory within the division, being a major supplier of infant formula to other plants within the network. Shift Managers are responsible for the overall leadership, direction and coordination of Production employees. The Shift Manager will manage shift employees to achieve key business objectives of product quality, order fulfilment, OEE, labour efficiency, health and safety and budget control. The Shift Manager will also act as cover in the absence of the Plant manager and support the Plant Manager in Operations as appropriate. Responsibilities Lead the Shift Team to achieve production targets/KPIs Ensure the highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene Maintain excellent standards of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Housekeeping Practice Monitor and control costs Ensure the safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitors Ensure that team are properly trained and managed to work in a safe, quality conscious and effective way Maintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels Ensure all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance Drive initiatives to maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficiencies Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum results Responsible for Danone Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal Controller Interface with HR in relation to employee performance/development and any employee relations issues Update relevant HR systems as required The Shift Manager will be expected to cover for the Production Manager when absent and support the Production Manager in other areas of production Contribute to the overall department performance plan in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Environment Drive correct usage, maintenance and development of all production systems Experience 2+ years experience in a management/supervisory role in the food manufacturing Industry is required Third level qualification in a related field is desirable SAP/MES/Scada experience highly desirable A strong understanding of Microsoft Office is required Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills Skills: Shift Manager Manufacturing Supervisor

Operating in a progressive and production focused Team, reporting to the Production Manager, the Automation Engineer has direct responsibility for delivery of automation projects in a top class spray drying facility. Main Responsibilities and KPI's Ability to maintain complex in house automated systems Perform regular fault finding and troubleshooting activities to ensure sustainable process reliability Trouble shoot current production automation issues and resolve in a timely manner Ability to deliver new projects and solutions that ensure a constant rate of continuous improvement Ability to keep up to date with the ever changing technological environment, equipment changes and product changes Monitor and Improve OE - Track and process line reliability & performance. Identify bottlenecks within the process, report and conduct root cause analysis with relevant team members. Modify existing control systems to meet changing production demands. Identify opportunities where automation can benefit and enhance production. B.Sc. or B.Eng. honours degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Software Engineering with a proven track record of successfully completing automated projects Strong working knowledge of all aspects of complex automated systems including PLC, vision systems, as well as a good understanding of MES systems. Knowledge of Siemens S7, WINCC and Wonderware a distinct advantage At least 5 years relevant experience in an FMCG, fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment with demonstrable and transferable skills is essential Proficient in the use of MS Office tools and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control Systems A solid understanding of most industrial networks as well as an appreciation of machine design and control are essential. Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacturin Experience in standardisation of processes. Proven Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
