  • Assistant Accountant

    Overview The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive: Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts with variance analysis on a timely basis. Assist with the month end close processes on company ERP system which will include journal preparation, intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with the preparation of monthly project Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR’s). Assist with Year-end close and audit preparation. Assist with the annual audit process. Assist with quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Be responsible for the preparation of bimonthly VAT returns for review. Assist the travel department with PO creation and supplier invoice reconciliation. Provide support for the day-to-day financial operations. Provide support as required to the wider finance team. Work closely with the Finance and wider company team to ensure sound financial controls exist within the company. Occasional travel and working off site in accordance with the roles commercial functionality. Part qualified and working towards full qualification with a recognised accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Minimum of 1 year’s hands-on industry experience in a similar role. Proficient in accounting software. Advanced MS Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to tasks. Ability to work independently and within a team environment and to tight deadlines. Effective communication skills both written and verbal. Strong personal integrity. Confident, enthusiastic and personable approach to working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. ERP experience. Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
