  • Quantity Surveyor - Structural Steel Liscahane, Ireland Permanent | Up to €130,000 + Bonus + Benefits An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established structural steel fabrication business delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for managing project costs, contractual obligations, and financial performance across a portfolio of structural steelwork projects. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a structural steel fabricator or closely within the steel/construction sector, with a strong understanding of fabrication, erection, and project delivery processes. What you'll do: Manage all commercial and financial aspects of structural steel projects from pre-contract through to final account Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts Carry out valuations, variations, and applications for payment Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms Work closely with estimating, design, project management, and site teams Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to protect margins and ensure profitability Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reporting Assist with procurement of materials and subcontract packages Lead on final account preparation and commercial close-out You'll need: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a structural steel fabricator or steel-focused contractor Strong understanding of steel fabrication, detailing, and erection processes Experience managing valuations, variations, and full project cost control Ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documentation Strong negotiation and commercial management skills Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication abilities Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction (preferred) Ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously Why this role?
