  • IT Support Analyst (Device Prep)

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented IT Support Analyst to join our Service team. This role is responsible for the physical build, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of laptops and related hardware. You will play a key part in ensuring end-users receive fully functional, secure, and optimized devices to support their work. Nostra has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Belfast. Responsibilities: Laptop Build & Configuration: Assemble and configure laptops according to company standards and user requirements. Install operating systems, drivers, and essential software packages. Apply security policies and ensure compliance with IT standards. Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. Perform component replacements (e.g., SSDs, RAM, keyboards, screens). Liaise with vendors for warranty repairs and parts ordering. Quality Assurance & Documentation: Conduct quality checks on all builds before deployment. Maintain accurate records of builds, repairs, and inventory. Update asset management systems and ticketing platforms. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with the IT Service Desk and Onboarding teams to meet deployment timelines. Provide technical support during onboarding and refresh cycles. Assist in continuous improvement of build processes and documentation. Requirements: Proven experience in IT hardware support or build technician roles. Strong understanding of laptop components and repair techniques. Familiarity with Windows OS deployment tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Intune). Basic networking and troubleshooting knowledge. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Qualifications: CompTIA A+ or similar IT certification. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support Microsoft 365 environment with a strong focus on security, compliance, and endpoint protection. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, and advanced security technologies, as well as experience in SIEM/SOC operations. Nostra has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Belfast. Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 Administration & Security: Manage and secure Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID (Azure AD). Familiar with Hybrid / Entra Join infrastructures. Configure and maintain Conditional Access policies. Implement and manage Advanced Threat Protection for Office 365. Monitor and optimise Secure Score for continuous improvement. Familiar with SSO configuration using Entra as the IDP. Endpoint & Device Management: Onboard devices into Intune and troubleshoot enrolment issues. Develop and enforce Intune policies for compliance and security. Manage Defender for Endpoint (EDR) onboarding for endpoints and servers. Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure compliance with organisational policies. Maintain and update security baselines and compliance policies. Threat Detection & Response: Configure and manage SIEM/SOC solutions (experience with Huntress is a bonus). Email & Perimeter Security: Set up and manage anti-spam and perimeter security solutions (e.g. Mimecast, Barracuda). Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM): Utilise RMM tools for endpoint monitoring and troubleshooting including Intune enrolments, Defender enrolments and remote troubleshooting. Azure Security (Advantageous): Implement and manage Azure security controls and policies. Requirements: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and security. Expertise in Intune onboarding, policy management, and compliance. Hands-on experience with Defender EDR and Conditional Access. Familiarity with Advanced Threat Protection for Office 365. Proficiency in SIEM/SOC configuration and management. Knowledge of Secure Score and RMM tooling. Strong troubleshooting skills for device enrolments and endpoint security. Experience with perimeter anti-spam setup and management. Azure security experience is highly desirable. Bonus: Experience with Huntress or similar threat detection platforms. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals. Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate. The ideal candidate would have experience in cloud infrastructure including endpoint management, Networking, Server Administration, Azure, and Office 365 as well as a solid understanding of on-premise technology including networking. This role would require a service-oriented attitude, excellent verbal and written skills and a high focus on the quality of work. Nostra has offices in Dublin (HQ), Cork, Galway and Belfast. Responsibilities: Manage the IT Support queue. Provide support on client sites as per business requirements. Take ownership of IT issues and work with the team (and SMEs across the business as required), to resolve these issues. Document processes and procedures to increase the efficiency of the service desk team. Support M365 environment and perform server and laptop setups and repairs. Install, configure and maintain user software and communications equipment. Manage and communicate with third party vendor. Qualifications and Personal Skills: Relevant experience in IT Support or Service. Drivers licence. Office 365 Administration. Knowledge of Active Directory and Server Administration. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Self-motivated with an ability to work in teams.
