Job Summary The Senior Director, Renewal Sales is responsible for driving renewal sales strategies, optimizing customer retention, and achieving sales targets in the EMEA region. Reporting into the VP, Global Customer Success & Renewal Sales, this highly visible leadership role will set the vision and execution strategy for install base management, ensuring NetApp retains and grows its customer base. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the renewal sales process, and the ability to inspire and coach the Managers and individual contributors in the team. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of NetApp’s renewal growth strategy in EMEA. Provide guidance and leadership to a highly motivated team of Renewals Managers & Specialists. Partner with Sales leaders and Customer Success leadership to define install base (IB) strategy and identify renewal opportunities. Support Renewal Specialist Managers through forecasting, area-level reviews, and professional development initiatives. Drive and maintain renewal performance metrics, including renewal rates, in-quarter renewal rates (IQRR), discount governance, tech refresh, keystone, and cloud subscriptions. Build strong, profitable relationships with support organizations including quoting specialists, finance, sales, and partner managers. Ensure disciplined pipeline management across the geography, covering prior, current, and future quarter assets. Deliver accurate quarterly renewal bookings forecasts. Lead resolution of customer and partner escalations related to renewal sales and install base matters, engaging cross-functional teams as needed. Qualifications At least 10+ years of proven track record in sales leadership, ideally within enterprise technology or SaaS. Deep understanding of the renewal sales process and customer lifecycle management. Strong ability to orchestrate cross-functional strategies and influence senior stakeholders. Experience leading teams across multiple geographies, with a focus on retention and growth. Results-oriented mindset with a passion for building high-growth businesses. Strong aptitude for learning and understanding new technologies. Proven ability to leverage data to generate insights and drive execution. Exceptional executive-level communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated success collaborating across cross-functional teams, time zones, and culture.
