  • IT Business Analyst – Acquisitions

This role is a technically strong IT Business Analyst who will sit at the heart of business change, partnering closely with IT, acquisition stakeholders and third‑party delivery teams to support integration, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. You will act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery, analysing, simplifying and translating business processes into clear, actionable requirements that drive successful outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing Please note that this role can be based in Cork or Dublin. Support multiple projects within the acquisitions portfolio, from discovery and implementation across the acquisition’s portfolio to continuous improvement workstreams. Gather and model requirements and create data‑flow diagrams. Define business rules before and after, including impact analysis. Map dependencies. Ensure smooth execution of sprints or milestones, representing product owners and managers as required. Manage and communicate requirements clarifications to the team and maintain the dependency map and traceability matrix. Prioritise stories, backlog items or milestone functionality and perform cost‑benefit analysis of changes. Facilitate User Acceptance Testing and support deployment of changes and projects into production. What We’re Looking For IT‑related degree or equivalent experience. Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Business Analysis, Agile, or Project Management). Minimum five years’ experience in IT. Two to three years’ experience in a Business Analyst role within a complex organisation. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proven experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, specification and validation. Experience working with third‑party vendors and hybrid delivery teams. Exposure to multiple delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, Kanban). Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, quality assurance and information security. Highly organised, structured and delivery‑focused. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation. Comfortable working in a matrixed and hybrid environment.
