About the role: Murphy is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability Graduate to join our Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability team. The SHESQ Graduate will work closely with the Project Team ensuring the safe execution of works and embedding the Company's 'Never Harm' culture on site. Role Responsibilities: Assisting in the co-ordination of Corrective Actions from Clients, Internal and External Audits. Scanning and Uploading documents to Murphy Alcumus System, EcoOnline System, IAuditor. Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual KPI and Management Review data. Co-ordination and Archiving of Documents. Assist in the preparation, revision, and review of quality system records. Assist in the maintenance and delivery of Quality related training. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Delivery of Commercial Management Services for individual projects. Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department. To provide assistance to the Senior QS, and support on all commercial issues within the Project(s). Team Working Encourage and develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team. Ensure the site team adheres to group procedures and governance. Delegation of appropriate work to junior staff, whilst maintaining accountability. Commercial Service Delivery Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required. Preparation of Valuations/Application for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract. Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation. Preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules. Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts. Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers. Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change. Challenge & manage in cost control / cost mitigation. Ensure the correct site records are maintained. Implement a WBS structure to satisfy the Client & Contract requirements. Assist with preparation of the Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the projects(s). Preparation of change events, extension of time claims, final accounts etc. Measurement of quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement as required. Ensure appropriate Client Management is initiated and maintained. Helping to maximise the cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production & improvement plans. Maintain / assist in the production of the margin improvement plan on the project. Undertake any other work as required of you by your line manager. Corporate Development Attend client engagement events for equivalent level customer feedback. Involvement in Business Improvement Initiatives. Main Purpose of Role We have a requirement for a Controls & Automation Technician/Commissioning Engineer to work on Water and Wastewater projects across Ireland and the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established contractor. The successful candidate will join the Murphy Water engineering business within the Automation & Controls Department reporting to the Automation & Controls Team Manager. Qualifications Candidate must be a qualified Electrician with a L6 National Craft Certificate, (Electrical or Instrumentation). Role Duties - Reporting to the Automation & Controls Team Manager - Onsite validation and commissioning of PLC based electrical control systems and instrumentation - Electrical equipment onsite commissioning - Checking and testing electrical and instrumentation MCC panels - Checking electrical and instrumentation MCC panel wiring schematics - Coordinate with all electrical and mechanical personnel to achieve project deadlines. - Fault diagnostics and modification to existing electrical control and automation systems. - Factory Acceptance Tests on control panels to ensure compliance with approved documentation - Site Acceptance Tests and system sign off with client representative. - Monitoring and optimisation of instrumentation, PLC's, and electrical control systems. - Preparation of technical specifications and supervision of sub-contractors. - Generate controls documentation including FDS and I/O lists to meet project specifications. - Checking electrical and instrumentation control panel wiring schematics. - Responsible for ensuring all electrical and instrumentation installations on projects assigned are installed in accordance with relevant standards. - Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the company procedures observing proper health and safety. Typical projects worked on will include HV substations, solar farms, underground and overhead cable routes, gas pipelines and associated infrastructure (AGIs and compressor stations) Role Duties: Prepare accurate estimates in conjunction with the work winning team Review tender drawings and documents to determine the scope of works and tender deliverables Attend tender start-up, mid bid and adjudication meetings and make site visits as required. Prepare BOQs for scopes of projects Produce enquiry schedules for suppliers and subcontractors required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications issued. Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enter correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements. Input to project risk register and attends a project risk meeting in the presence of Estimators, Planning Engineers, Design Co-ordinators and Clients representatives. Attend Tender Handover meetings in the presence of Estimators and projects team. Prepare commercial documents for tender handover to projects team.
