    Produce Manager/Fruit & Veg Manager Opportunity at Moriartys Super Valu Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company which was established in Dublin in 1988. The Group is involved in both the retail grocery and hospitality industries. The Group currently comprises of three large Super Valu stores situated in Balbriggan and Skerries, North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20 and two 4* Hotels, The Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan and The Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our professional and highly skilled management team in our Palmerstown Store. The Position: The Produce/Fruit & Veg Manager is responsible for the overall management of our large fruit & veg department. This is a full time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. Main Duties: Working as part of the stores management team Department Set up/display. Staff training & development Ensuring compliance with all legislation applicable to the industry Ensuring customers experience excellent service at all times Ensuring the department is presented in a professional manner. Stock Ordering Stock-takes Driving sales & margin in the department. HACCP duties Ensuring all company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to Requirements: Must be fluent in the English Language both verbal and written A minimum of 2/3 years experience in a similar role within a fresh food oriented business preferably with high volume sales. Previous fruit & veg experience in a Super Valu store would be an advantage but is not essential. Must have a good knowledge of financial reports relevant to department e.g. sales reports. Must have a strong eye for detail. Must have strong organisational skills. Excellent communications skills Excellent leadership skills Strong knowledge of fruit & veg/produce in general. The companys portfolio currently comprises of three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries in North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The company also owns two 4* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The company currently employees approximately 550 people. The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Baker (Confectionary) for our Palmerstown store. The Role: This a full-time positions working an average of 42.5 hours per week, 5 shifts over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. The successful candidate will work with our in-store bakery team preparing cakes and pastries for our in-store fresh foods range. Main Duties: Assisting the Head Baker in the day to day running of our busy in-store bakery department. Baking novelty, birthday and celebration cakes Priority for this role. Baking Breads & small cakes. HACCP duties. Food preparation. Menu/product development. Waste management. Providing a high level of customer service at all times. Requirements: Must have at least 2/3 years experience as a Baker. (preferably within a bakery producing a high volume of product). Must be able to make novelty cakes. Must be able to make birthday/celebration cakes. Must be HACCP trained. Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken. Must be enthusiastic about the department. Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the bakery dept. Excellent communications skills. Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
