Who We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Building Services Engineering, from an accredited institution (equivalent qualifications in a similar field may also be considered) IT literate, with good knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications Chartered Engineer status and relevant accreditations Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines, as well as familiarity with external client interactions Very strong technical skills required (minimum 7 years mechanical building services design experience; ideally 10+ years) Strong business acumen, with the ability to make informed decisions Knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards and codes, and design guides (including BCO) Experience of reviewing witnessing commissioning and overseeing mechanical installations by contractor on projects A strong understanding of various mechanical systems and their applications Well-developed problem-solving skills, and a “think outside the box” mentality Familiarity with the full range of design stages, from concept right through to detailed design and construction administration. Purpose & Scope of the Role Join a well‑established and growing groundwater team within a wider geo‑environmental group of around 100 professionals operating across the UK and Ireland. This role supports the delivery of high‑profile groundwater frameworks and resource development projects, including work with water utilities and public sector clients. As a Consultant or Senior Hydrogeologist, you will focus on technical delivery, project management and the continued growth of groundwater services, contributing to both regional and national projects. Your expertise will directly influence abstraction licensing, environmental protection and water resource management.
