Role overview: This position if for a Client facing role to manage end to end process of project delivery, particularly around Mechanical and HVAC systems. This role is required to support the growth of the Project team and expand our offering to our client base. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Client groups to develop, assess and PM Mechanically biased projects of varying size and complexities Manage and coordinate all phases of the Mechanical Services project lifecycle, from Pre-Construction & Planning, through to execution, testing, and commissioning Attend site visits with contractors to review project scope of works, establish a pre commencement survey, manage the Programme of works with the contractor ensuring a quality delivery and effectively Snag and closeout the project Monitor project budgets, timelines, and milestones, in a manner that minimises the need for change management processes Oversee the financial aspects of the project to ensure they are managed effectively throughout its duration, to deliver value for money to the client and ensure P&L for the business Have a knowledge of Energy and Carbon Efficiency best practice options within Engineering to promote the best proposals for replacement or new Assets to the client and work with the in house ESG team to deliver for the client Experience with CAD to update drawings for client sites Review, verify and co-ordinate all construction drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility, prepare Safety file documentation and carry out FM Handover and updating of Asset registers on completion. Our premise is simple: the exceptional, every day. Role Overview: Responsible for routine testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across the university campus. Ensure compliance with I.S. 3218:2013+A1:2019 standards, maintain accurate records, and address faults promptly. Role Responsibilities: Weekly Testing: Conduct weekly tests on one manual call point per system. Perform tests consistently each week, rotating zones to cover all areas every 13 weeks. Daily Inspections: Inspect control panels daily for faults. Log and report any issues immediately. Maintenance and Servicing: Assist in quarterly and annual servicing per standards. Ensure 100% system testing annually, divided into quarterly segments. Verify alarm sound levels annually. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of tests, inspections, and maintenance. Log dates, times, types of tests, issues, and actions taken. Display testing and servicing certificates next to control panels. Fault Management: Investigate and rectify faults found during tests and inspections. Record fault details, remedial actions, and report to senior staff. Post-Event Actions: Conduct additional servicing after fire events or alarm activations. Ensure the system is fully functional and compliant post-event. About You: Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in fire alarm testing and maintenance. Knowledge of I.S. 3218:2013+A1:2019 standards. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills. Proficiency with fire alarm testing equipment and control panels. Familiarity with various fire alarm systems and components. Ability to follow strict testing schedules and procedures. Strong communication skills for reporting and documentation. Ability to promptly identify and address system faults.
