Manage multiple aspects of revenue accounting for both new and established business initiatives, including review of journals, reconciliations, and preparing flux analysis for key accounts. Design and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial close. Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, including close coordination with both external and internal auditors. Meta is seeking a data center Mechanical Subject Matter Expert to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our systems operate to meet the demands of our customers. The Mechanical Subject Matter Expert will be a part of the facility operations team and will be responsible for being the mechanical system technical operations expert. The candidate will need to have a broad understanding of mechanical system and equipment function and will be responsible for procedure-based mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, training, and project oversight. The Mechanical Subject Matter Expert will need to be experienced in a range of technologies such as chiller systems, evaporative cooling, DX cooling, water distribution and treatment, emergency diesel generators, fire suppression systems, and have a working knowledge of building automation systems and electrical distribution. Mechanical Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities: Serve as primary onsite technical resource as part of a team of mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment, with an emphasis on practical/field application. Author or approve work procedures to cover mechanical troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance activities, with an emphasis on assessing & mitigating personnel and system risk. Conduct or oversee hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment. Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) oversight of initial campus construction, retrofit projects & maintenance activity. Lead and/or participate in root cause analysis activities in area of expertise, specifically mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment oversight of water quality management program. The position will provide a multitude of legal support for data protection related issues across Meta's family of apps and services. You will manage existing and emerging data protection related issues across the region and advise internal teams on compliance and legal risks. The role requires big picture thinking, good judgment, a great work ethic and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. As part of the role, you will partner closely with other legal teams and internal stakeholders from across the business, helping to set strategy across key areas. Lead Counsel, Data Protection Responsibilities: Analyse Meta’s products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions. Coordinate with our Data Protection Office and provide policy, product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice from a European data protection and regulatory perspective. Coordinate with public policy and communications colleagues on external communication, policy development, and enforcement decisions. Provide full service support to wider legal team on European regulatory and litigation matters. Monitor and respond to developments in data protection and relevant consumer laws (i.e., new laws, regulations, important judgements, regulatory guidance, etc.). Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including at a law firm or prior in-house experience (applicable litigation, regulatory or product counseling experience will be considered). In-depth knowledge of legal issues in the area of the operation of online (social media) platforms including a demonstrated understanding of data protection law. Demonstrated experience to independently, quickly and accurately assess legal, practical and business risks in a deadline-focused environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines. Experience working within a global legal team. Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to get the job done. Experience of successfully navigating projects that require an analysis of situations and legal decision making requires an evaluation of unclear or ambiguous factors. Meta requires all employed attorneys to have a law degree or equivalent certificate to permit the practice of law and be appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in their assigned work location.
