Key Responsibilities of the Role: Ensure that projects under their control are delivered safely on time and within budget. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reporting on project status that track % complete, schedule performance, baseline variance and costs. Maintain a register of all projects and ensure the status of each project is always known. Deliver all projects in line with both Mercury Engineering and the client's health and safety requirements. Ensure that subcontractors used have been vetted by Mercury procurement department and are approved before use. Ensure that all work performed is delivered in accordance with the permitting requirements of Mercury's electrical safety rules. Carry out routine inspection of the projects being executed to confirm they are being performed in line with the scope of work and schedule agreed. Ensure that a schedule and milestones are in place for all works and that subcontractor invoicing is measured in accordance with the schedule. Monitor that the subcontractors have sufficiently resourced the project being delivered to maintain the delivery schedule. The Project Manager will be able to manage various projects being delivered across multiple sites that are of varying size and complexity. The Project Manager will ensure that all works have an established execution plan, and a safe plan of work, and that the subcontractors are performing their work in accordance with the plan. Manage the contract budget and report at internal and client facing meetings on monthly status. Be the point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations. Ensuring contractually agreed SLA's and KPI's within the Scope of Works (SOW) are met and necessary record retention demonstrating adherence. All other duties associated with this role and/or reasonably required by the Company the Company reserves the right to vary the scope and nature of the Employee's normal duties to take into account changes in the Company's work patterns and practices and the requirements of its business. Essential Criteria for the Role: The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience in similar Role. Previous experience with Fire Protection Operations. Scope of the Role: We are looking for a Fire Protection Fitter to join our Sustaining department within our Fire Protection division. Operative will drive a Sustaining works Van. This role will be mostly based in the Dublin, Leinster region pending availability of work. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Experience in installation of various Sprinkler systems Planning and executing small to medium sized jobs which involves interfacing with clients. Surveying works and Co-ordinating with design team Flexible to travel around the country. Knowledge in all types of sprinkler systems. Able to work on own initiative Full drivers' licence. (optional). Liaise and build relationships with clients. Competent in draining / refilling sprinkler systems. Competent in operating fire pumps / related fire alarms. Key Responsibilities of the role: Management of the Electrical Systems under your control. To support the engineering requirements through managing & liaising with Key Project Stakeholders (Client design team, Main contractor, Suppliers, Sub-contractors, etc). Familiarisation of Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the Project works. Overseeing the Co-ordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel ensuring spec compliance and as per schedule priority. This will require generation/management of Requests for Information (RFI), Technical Queries etc. Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Managementteam. Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury QA Manager including set up, management and close out of file Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Mercury Project Manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements and ensuring Engineering activities do not impact on same (e.g. Procurement etc..). Management of all aspects associated with your package including: -Mercury Electrical Team -Sub-contractors -Material deliveries and goods receipting. -Plant and Equipment -Variations -Valuations Management of all day-to-day site operations. Ensure Mercury Policies and procedures are followed closely. Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Management of the Mercury "In Progress" snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable. Ensure all snags are distributed to all Sub-contractors Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally. Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings Close out of all project deliverables including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan - all with the support of the site project manager and your project team. Issue weekly cost reports. This will include all orders placed, materials expected, and labour levels. Information reporting will be an essential activity to ensure activity targets/deadlines are met to support the project team. There will be an Engineering Task Log generated and managed by the Engineering Lead Issue internal weekly progress report rolled up from project supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Mercury, e.g. late deliveries. Issue external weekly progress report, to the project manager, highlighting areas not available, delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage complete. Management and undertaking of the technical submittal, approvals. Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track deliveries. Management of the material procurement utilising Engineering Materials Report (EMR) by producing material take offs identifying the lead in periods and field need rates. Maintain a weekly project photographic diary. Preparing Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS. Assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications. Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhancedelivery time of the project. Manage BIM priorities i.e. support team to develop modular concepts, Typical fabrication details and Isometrics generation and to release for construction. Validation of materials/assets within the model are also to be verified for construction. Change management is a critical process to be understood and controlled. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Ensure EHS management systems for all the projects are implemented and maintained Adherence to the project & Mercury Engineering Safety Management system Adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions & legislation Adherence to Mercury Engineering & PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans. Coordination in the development of task specific Method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action, permit to work. Compliance with the project safety statement. Coordination of project safety indicators. Good Safety Practices are managed & maintained. Ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments, control of hazardous substances. Safety interventions are completed & registered. Carry out regular site audits and inspection, document reports and establish corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence and continuous improvements Attend and provide input at Site meetings, report on EHS risks, trends and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements Good Safety Practices are managed & maintained. Provide advice and guidance in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees Records of statutory inspections are available for project activities, tool and plant. Adopt a Proactive approach to project EHS requirements. Ability to work either independently or as part of a team. Provide Safety input to site management & at site EHS forums. Ensure project sub-contractor adhere to project EHS policies & procedures. Mercury Engineering site induction & training is coordinated, managed & maintained. Project PPE is resourced & available. Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary Assist or carry out accident investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to Mercury Engineering project management. Welfare & Hygiene facilities are in place, managed & maintained. Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues. Up to date documentation is included with the Safety File. Waste reduction and recycling programmes are maintained in line with project policies & procedures. Essential Criteria for the Role: Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (HETAC Level 7 or Equivalent) 3 years minimum site experience Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation Flexibility in working patterns where necessary. Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site. Strong communication & computer skills, Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills. Mercury is an equal opportunities employer .
