About the Role As a Global Mobility Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the Global Mobility programs and assignments within our organisation. Your primary focus will be on facilitating smooth employee relocations, ensuring compliance with, and providing support to internationally mobile employees through proactive engagement. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex international regulations. The Global Mobility Team is a key partner and enabler of strategic management of talent. As such, transforming our current process and practice from delivery to advisory and becoming a more strategic partner that is aligned to business needs and HR programs is imperative. As the talent needs of Mercury Engineering continue to evolve, our Global Mobility program must evolve to serve the needs of our stakeholders in HR and the business while maintaining integrity and compliance. A strong focus on process improvement and data tracking will enable you to provide key insights stakeholders in both HR and the business. Hybrid working Model- 3 days in our Head Office in Sandyford, Dublin and 2 days at home Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract due to Maternity Cover Key Responsibilities Support the Global Mobility function for all business units across multiple global locations. Coordinate end-to-end process of Global Mobility assignments, including relocation, immigration, and compliance to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulations. Support with Global Mobility programs, policies, and processes, ensuring alignment to business needs that are both market competitive and cost-effective. Act as the main point of contact for HR, Talent Acquisition and leaders on mobility requests / inquiries, assignment planning, and policy counselling. Provide consultancy services, advice and collaborative support regarding the interpretation and execution of Mercury’s Global Mobility policies and practices. Develop and manage relationships with the consultants, including sourcing, issue resolution, and ensuring high standards of service delivery and delivery against set KPIs. Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations in collaboration with external legal counsel or immigration specialists. Continually review current practices to ensure compliance with tax and immigration requirements are up to date. Manage end-to-end mobility cases, enhancing employee experience in line with Mercury’s mobility policies. Serve as the point of contact during transfers, secondments, immigration, and all Global Mobility related matters, fulfilling all legal and financial responsibilities. Coordinate and manage work permit and visa applications for international assignments, including supporting documentation and compliance checks. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to Global Mobility assignments. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the Global Mobility process. Provide guidance and support for repatriation processes. Assist in other HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned. Competencies High degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness of cultural considerations in global assignments. Essential Criteria Proven experience as a Global Mobility Specialist or in a similar role, managing Global Mobility programs and assignments. Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, international relations, or a related field is advantageous. Strong understanding of international assignment processes, including work permits, visas, and relocation logistics. Demonstrated willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and work in support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees, managers, and external vendors. Able to independently identify and evaluate decision-making criteria and exercise sound judgement in the application of same criteria, within scope of role. Proficiency in using HRIS systems and other relevant HR /MS tools. Travel may be required from time to time for this position. Desirable Criteria CIPD Membership is desirable. Scope of Role: Working within the legal department and reporting to the Insurance Manager, this insurance advisor role will be based in Dublin supporting Mercury business units and locations across Europe. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Support in managing insurance risks including the design, negotiation, placement, and maintenance of insurance programmes covering Mercury’s global risk. Take a lead role in the review of incident reports (personal injury and material damage), ensuring accuracy of information and all recorded. Interfacing with Quality, Health and Safety Department with respect to accident reporting and process improvement. Support the management of claims – cross class and within multiple jurisdictions, so that they are dealt with within appropriate timeframes. Preparation of incident and claim reports for internal stakeholders and for insurers in respect of claims above insurance deductibles. Educating the business on insurance risks, lessons learned from incidents and claims. Participating in the delivery of insurance presentation workshops and seminars. Provide claims handling support, including management, negotiation, and settlement of insurance claims up to insurance deductible across all insurance classes (including attendance at court proceedings and claim negotiation and settlement meetings). Support pursuance of indemnities and recoveries from third-party insurers. Assist in the review and approval of client and supply chain insurances, working with legal, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure satisfies Mercury needs and highlighting any uninsured exposures. Assist legal team and business with negotiation of insurance requirements in client and supply facing contracts, identifying and minimising exposures. Preparation and administration of insurance documentation including insurance manuals and certificates of insurance. Contribute to the review of risk registers. Provide advice on any insurance matters arising in the course of the Group’s business activities. Motivated team player with integrity and trust. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain regular contact with key stakeholders such as senior management, colleagues, suppliers, clients, brokers, insurers, assessors, and solicitors. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, word and excel. At least 5 years’ experience in insurance industry/in-house insurance/risk management/insurance legal role. Detailed knowledge of multi lines of construction insurance, coverage technicalities, and contract terminology. Claims management experience and good knowledge of the courts and litigation process. Producing deliverables such as plant replacement schedules/lift and shift schedules. Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related CSA discipline. Assist with Value Engineering (VE) log for the DC&BS group. Assist with setting up design trackers across each project, ensuring all projects follow the same processes. Assist in reviewing Project Responsibility matrices and Design RACI matrices to ensure alignment with project scope. Coordination of design management strategies on DCBS projects. Support the CE team regarding completion of Cx design related drawings, schematics, etc. Ensure that there are sufficient engineering personnel assigned to the project at a given time and that lookaheads are completed and issued to relevant personnel. Engage in the recruitment process for engineers at all levels from Graduates to Lead Engineers. Manage the Mercury People Platform (MPP) from all aspects of setting goals, compensation review, ratings, maintaining organisation chart, approving leave, etc. Ensure that the Engineering SOP’s are robust, current, implemented & in use on projects and, where required, developed/implemented as needed. Engage with planning and construction in producing programmes/schedules, primarily advising on the design phased elements, material lead times and on an ongoing basis updating progress. Advise planning on any impacts that result from change management, issues, material delays, and technical issues and potential mitigation. Engage in development of off-site workshops & assembles and sub-contractor schedules to ensure engineering input is captured. Oversee BIM involvement for engineering aspects. Ensure BIM queries/enquiries, such as Request-For-Information (RFI) posts on BIM360, are managed and responded to in a timely manner. Ensure the final handover requirements are to be considered in all the various steps associated with engineering from submittal to installation acceptance. Ensure all safety requirements are met and reiterate to engineering and site teams continuously the importance of same. Engage with Offsite Site Assembly (OSA) and Offsite Site Manufacturing (OSM) to ensure engineering requirements are aligned prior to commencing, monitor during construction and meet handover requirements. Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring electrical technical compliance on all Business Unit projects. Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedules/Programmes along with the Client, Project Manager, Design team and consultants. Coaching/mentoring junior engineers on projects. Attending design related meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work. Procure the design from a consultant design partner from initial tender enquiry to appointment. Liaison with the consultants responsible for the design on projects. Liaising with any third parties required, such as Clients, insurance companies, consultants, vendors, architects, etc. Review of the completed design to ensure it is accurate and precise. Manage various registers throughout the project design period, including procurement schedule, technical submittal register, drawing register, RFI log, deviation tracker, lessons learned log, issues log, interface and scope gap tracker, and design change control tracker. Monitor all engineering schedules and trackers throughout the course of each project. Manage technical submittals & drawing approvals to ensure all is approved for procurement/installation. Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related discipline. Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverables and price with consulting firms. Assist with technical workload on the projects you are involved with. Assist the project teams with better buying – review all orders technically and ensure the best price is obtained. Assist the Project Manager in tracking all internal and external design changes and cost issues. Manage distribution and production of project workload within the project team and design consultant team. Collaborate on new design issues/changes and research projects with team. Review programme on each project, check design, submittal approval and procurement is in line with programme requirements. Planning, programming and reporting. Project prioritization of design, assignment and management to designers. Lead with effective supervision an experienced design team to ensure delivery on schedule. Closely track design deliverables to ensure project milestones are met. Implement recovery strategy if slippage is detected. Participate in departmental strategic planning. Assist technically as needed with the Business Unit. Manage electrical design document control and track design deliverables to ensure project milestones are met. Challenge the consultants and Mercury teams to value engineer. Audit the project documentation structure at regular intervals as requested by Engineering manager. Assist project teams to setup O&M manual index and trackers early in the project. Produce a report for the projects you are working on, and issue it to the Engineering Manager as required. Assist with tenders for new projects when required, such as, the reviewing of documentation, assisting the Estimating Department, etc. Attending site when requested. Producing deliverables such as plant replacement schedules/lift and shift schedules. Develop comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related electrical discipline. Assist with Value Engineering (VE) log for the DC&BS group. Assist with setting up design trackers across each project, ensuring all projects follow the same processes. Assist in reviewing Project Responsibility matrices and Design RACI matrices to ensure alignment with project scope. Coordination of design management strategies on DCBS projects. Support the CE team regarding completion of Cx design related drawings, schematics, etc. Ensure that there are sufficient engineering personnel assigned to the project at a given time and that lookaheads are completed and issued to relevant personnel. Engage in the recruitment process for engineers at all levels from Graduates to Lead Engineers. Manage the Mercury People Platform (MPP) from all aspects of setting goals, compensation review, ratings, maintaining organisation chart, approving leave, etc. Ensure that the Engineering SOP’s are robust, current, implemented & in use on projects. Engage with planning and construction in producing programmes/schedules, primarily advising on the design phased elements, material lead times and on an ongoing basis updating progress. Advise planning on any impacts that result from change management, issue, material delays and technical issues and potential mitigation. Engage in development of off-site workshops & assembles and sub-contractor schedules to ensure engineering input is captured. Oversee BIM involvement for engineering aspects. Ensure BIM queries/enquiries are managed and responded to in a timely manner. Ensure the final handover requirements are to be considered in all the various steps associated with engineering. Ensure all safety requirements are met and reiterate to engineering and site teams continuously the importance of same. Engage with Offsite Site Assembly (OSA) and Offsite Site Manufacturing (OSM) to ensure engineering requirements are aligned. All other tasks related to engineering role that is requested by the Engineering Manager. All other duties associated with this role and/or reasonably required by the Company. Minimum Requirements: Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Design Engineering. Experience with BIM 360 on data centres/ large scale plant projects. The CSA Estimator will be responsible for the preparation of an accurate, detailed estimate from start to finish. You will prepare a Bill of Quantities using 2D drawings and/or BIM models, identifying at the outset which is most efficient for each project. You will engage with the supply chain locally to obtain sub-contractor quotes/current market rates for incorporation into each tender. You will produce an accurate, fully priced bid including a BQ encapsulating all works required by the Employers Requirements as well as the current market rates at that point in time, for presentation to the Group CSA Estimation Manager. You will also complete the Client Pricing Document(s) for submission to the Client. Key Responsibilities: Document Control: - Tender Document Control for each bid. Analyse drawings, specifications, tender addenda, and all other documentation to ascertain what work elements need to be measured and priced for inclusion in the BoQ. - File finalised documentation for future reference as per company filing structures. Quantification of work: - Be competent in Cost X estimation work practices for both 2D and 5D applications. Pricing: - Obtain quotations from the local market from vendors or subcontractors, interrogating these quotations for scope gaps and variances, and inputting correct figures into the bid. - Liaise with the construction team to obtain rates reflecting actual costs and lessons learned from previous projects. Change Management: - Keep up to date with all tender addenda issued both pre-tender and post-tender, and analyse all for change. Schedule these changes and apply rates for updated/revised tender bid submissions. Time Management: - Demonstrate excellent time management to achieve tight deadlines. Time is of the essence in preparing BQ’s, so it is essential the candidate can demonstrate this competency. Software skills: - Competent in the use of Cost X and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Mentoring and supporting junior staff: - Provide support and training to junior staff. Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying. 5+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying/Estimating role. Competent in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements.
