Vacancy Name Employment Type Permanent Location Role Profile The Mediolanum Finance team is a small dynamic team aiming to improve financial decision making across the organisation and help the business meet its strategic financial goals. We have an excellent opportunity available for a commercially minded FP&A analyst to join our Finance team. We are looking for a commercially minded Financial Planning Analyst to support the Insurance company (Mediolanum International Life dac) and develop into an expert in the financial performance of the business. Acting as the primary finance business partner the successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to senior decision makers across the organisation. Duties Own the performance reporting for Mediolanum International Life dac (MIL). Play a key role in forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning for the business, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure clear ownership and accountability for the business plan. Product profitability analysis supporting decision making with the Investment, Product & Risk teams. Support a culture of cost accountability across the business through planning, reporting and active business partnering. Play a key role in the transformation of the finance function helping shape the future FP&A function, developing new tools to maximise the benefits of the business’s investment in leading edge analytical tools. Partner with senior leaders including CFO (Mediolanum International Funds), General Manager (MIL) & CFO (MIL). Grow their skills supporting Finance and cross functional projects. Skills & Competencies Numerically and commercially savvy, with strong financial modelling capabilities. Proactive individual who can research issues independently and bring insights to senior managers on their own initiative. Excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to a non-financial audience. An organised individual who can prioritise multiple tasks, work efficiently under pressure and to tight timelines. Ability to quickly establish oneself as a subject matter expert and display knowledge & authority in all dealings with parties both internal and external. Adept at developing and building relationships both internally and externally. Proficiency in Italian a plus but not essential. Qualifications & Experience Relevant 3rd Level Degree (actuarial, finance, economics, and mathematics). 2+ years’ experience in a commercial environment and a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA). Experience in financial services with Insurance and/or Funds background a distinct advantage. Proficient in utilising technology including MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
