    Behaviour Therapist The Behaviour Therapist will support children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs within a residential care setting. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Planning Conduct functional behavioural assessments (FBAs) to identify triggers and maintaining factors of behaviours of concern Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) Contribute to care planning and risk management strategies Intervention & Support Deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g., ABA-informed strategies, positive behaviour support) Provide direct therapeutic input to children and young people Support residents in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and social skills Staff Training & Guidance Train and mentor residential care staff in behaviour management techniques Ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support plans across the service Promote trauma-informed and person-centred care practices Monitoring & Evaluation Collect, analyse, and interpret behavioural data to inform interventions Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with regulatory standards Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans as needed Collaboration Work closely with families, social workers, psychologists, and other professionals Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews Advocate for the needs and rights of young people Safeguarding & Compliance Adhere to all child protection and safeguarding policies Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and organisational policies Promote a safe, therapeutic, and supportive residential environment Essential Qualifications & Experience Degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Social Care, or a related field Experience working with children and/or young people in residential or clinical settings Knowledge of behavioural assessment and intervention approaches Strong understanding of trauma-informed care Desirable Criteria Postgraduate qualification in Behaviour Analysis or related discipline Experience working with autism, ADHD, or complex behavioural needs Training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Experience in residential care settings #J-18808-Ljbffr
