Maintenance Manager
Following recent internal restructuring, we are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our service and maintenance function. This is a key role focused on maximising equipment performance and uptime, ensuring a high standard of service delivery to our clients. Full training and ongoing support shall be provided from the outset.
The position requires close coordination with internal teams, external contractors, and our client base. The role is primarily depot-based, with infrequent site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance schedules to ensure minimal equipment downtime
Manage and lead the Service Team (both field and yard-based)
Provide first-line technical support (mechanical/electrical) to clients and internal teams
Manage departmental budgets and control costs
Uphold health and safety standards, including compliance and reporting
Liaise with internal departments, external contractors, and clients
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in people and team management
Recognised qualification or practical mechanical experience
Strong mechanical and electrical technical skills
Project management experience
Previous experience with construction plant or similar equipment (advantageous)
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and operational demands.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficient in computer use and reporting tools
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Full, clean driving licence
