We are now looking for a RELIEF COOK FOR EARLY YEARS for our Belin Wood Creche , located in Newbridge . The role of the Cook for Early Years in this environment is to order, cook, and serve nutritionally balanced meals appropriate for under-fives in accordance with the nursery's nutritional guidance for the under-fives. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED The ideal candidate MUST have a minimum of Food and Safety Training Level 3 (Successful candidates who have completed the Level 2 Food and Safety Training may be offered the Level 3 course). Reporting to the Creche Manager, you will lead by example to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, coordinating daily operations and fostering a nurturing, stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure rooms and play areas are clean, organized, and safe. Maintain hygiene standards that meet Little Harvard’s high expectations. Oversee the daily food program, addressing children’s nutritional needs and dietary requirements. Ensure compliance with required staff-to-child ratios. Provide guidance and support to parents on their children’s development and activities. Keep accurate and up-to-date records and systems. Supervise educators to maintain quality teaching methods and timely completion of paperwork. Report any concerns or issues to the appropriate person promptly. Ensure compliance with National Childcare Scheme (NCS) regulations. Collaborate with the Manager to discuss and implement operational improvements. Minimum Qualifications Required Level 6 in Childcare or an equivalent DCYA-approved certification is essential for this role.
