  • Transport Supervisor – Distribution Operations Galway We are seeking a Transport Supervisor to join our dynamic team at a key distribution site. This role is central to the smooth running of depot operations, supporting the delivery of excellent service to our customers and helping drive the ongoing growth of the organisation. Responsibilities Ensure timely and efficient dispatch of all delivery routes. Monitor daily driver schedules using technology, tracking performance and meeting customer expectations. Accompany drivers on routes to evaluate performance, provide coaching, and recommend improvements. Motivate and manage the delivery team, including performance and absence management, trend analysis, and participation in disciplinary processes if necessary. Minimise and report equipment breakdowns and repairs, liaising with the vehicle maintenance team as required. Submit accident/injury reports promptly in line with company procedures. Ensure proper loading, delivery techniques, and vehicle operation to reduce damages and shortages. Identify and deliver training to drivers as required. Lead by example, applying company policies consistently and fairly. Requirements 3–5 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role in a high-volume, time-sensitive distribution operation. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Good knowledge of Department of Transport regulations (e.g., tachograph legislation, Working Time Directive).
