Prepare detailed measurements, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for various projects. Support tender submissions and bid strategies. Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to optimise margins. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the contract terms, manage variations, and maintain accurate project documentation. Track design and scope changes, assess their impact on project cost and timeline, and ensure timely agreement of variations with clients and subcontractors. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify claims, and provide commercial guidance to project teams. Mentor junior QS team members, support performance development, and help build a collaborative, high-performing commercial team. Conduct take-offs of materials, labour and equipment, using industry-standard estimating software. Research and source electrical materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
