Role:
As a Senior Outsourced Accountant, this individual will be working with a broad clientele base that includes not for profit, non-profit, municipalities, small privately held businesses, and start up organizations. This person will be responsible for being a mini-CFO/Controller for the organization helping these organizations create financials, budgets, help with transactional accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis as well as act as a strategic partner making sure the organizations have internal controls in place, process improvements, assisting with strategic decisions, etc.
Responsibilities:
Work with privately held business owners, startups, and non-profits to manage the day to day accounting operations
Acting like a mini-CFO/Controller to help the organizations establish internal controls, improve processes, advise on strategic decisions, etc.
Prepare financial statements
Create budgets and forecasts
Work on debt, equity, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation, etc.
Perform month end close
Provide expertise in process improvements, automation, as well as suggestions as needed
Work with, liaison with, and communicate updates to outside auditors/vendors of these clientele
Ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required
CPA or other certifications are a huge plus
5+ years of progressive audit and/or outsourced accounting experience within a public accounting or advisory firm
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package will be available for this position including a Base Salary, bonus, medical, dental, vision, great 401K, profit sharing, tuition, vacation and sick time, paid holidays, etc.
Working Conditions:
This position is an in-office position as well as client facing position.
