  • Contract Manager  

    - Naas

    The role is responsible for the lead project team to deliver project[s] on time, within budget, safely and to quality standards in line with the Clients requirements and agreed contractual SLA/KPI’s. Job Scope Needs to Have Degree in relevant discipline and Project Management Accreditation essential At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position within the Power and Utility industry Strong understanding of project methodology Excellent oral and written communications Strong leadership skills Strong organisational ability with experience in reporting (internal & external) Proven people skills in delivery of project KPI’s and experience in customer facing role Needs to Do The effective leadership and management of project teams, including the development of team and individuals in partnership with HR and other departments Ensure each project team has the necessary safety training/inductions to undertake site work Hiring of resource and the implementation of the performance management system Assisting and supporting the team in the implementation and recording of training OPERATIONAL Implementation and maintenance of relevant LVMV approved processes, procedures, health and safety and technical standards and ensure their consistency with requirements of other departments Management of the relevant sub-contractors, monitor performance in terms of time, cost, quality and health and safety Ensure familiarity of client specifications and update and audit sites accordingly Be responsible for end to end management of project Undertake all necessary actions and support to facilitate achievement of delivery team targets in terms of time [programme], cost and quality Ensure adequate resource is procured and in place for each project. Ensure all handover documentation is completed and submitted Right First Time HEALTH & SAFETY Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with the Company Safety Management System and relevant statutory regulations Ensure H&S standards are met at all times on the project (both internally and externally) Ensure that sub-contractors performance meets the required project criteria Review project H&S reports and liaise with the Safety Officer/Manager to ensure that any recurring problems are rectified Ensure all project activities/project team are fully compliant with all the requirements of the Environmental Management System COMMERCIAL AWARENESS Ensure thorough understanding of project commercials Evaluation and Certification of relevant supplier and sub-contractor invoices Responsible for project P&L account Delivery of KPI’s with nominal Additional Works and stringent adherence to Health and Safety/Quality protocols Create immediate to short and medium range plans to develop and drive efficiency and cost focused initiatives within the LVMV workstream Develop and continuously improve planning and cost analysis across the management teams Participate across all Power tenders and PQQ’s as required for ESBN, NIE and all other Power clients. COMMUNICATION Attend project/programme/client meetings, as required, to ensure effective communication across the project Responsible for ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with company’s environmental standard i.e. site waste disposal, materials used – refer to SHEQ-1003 and SHEQ-1022 for listing of Environmental Aspects and Hazardous substances used in the company Needs to Be Commercially focused and able to deliver project KPI’s on time, on budget and according to quality metrics Focused on ensuring delivery right first time Able to understand and meet client expectations in line with project scope Self-starter who can operate effectively in a dynamic and fast paced organization Able to build and maintain good relationships with key project stakeholders Provides effective direction and guidance to project team Solutions focused and process orientated #J-18808-Ljbffr

Able to operate in a dynamic and fast paced organisation. Detailed orientated with proven organisational ability. Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Willing to travel when required. Job Requirements Valid work authorisation for Ireland Full Drivers License Qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful career history with a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential, including Advanced Excel. Knowledge of current construction legislation. Experience with FIDIC forms of Contract.
