Become a Krakenite and build the future of crypto! Proof of work The team We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Consumer team. The Consumer team at Kraken focuses on building applications that expose Kraken’s product offering to the mass market. Trying to onboard the next 100 million people to the benefits of crypto. This role primarily involves developing features and maintaining our “Consumer” mobile applications, which consists of a suite of applications aimed at offering the simplest way for our customers to interact with Kraken. We expect anyone applying for this role to have an extreme eye for detail, a passion for building genuinely world class user experiences, a "ship fast but don’t ship shit" attitude and be highly self driven. The opportunity Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality mobile applications using React Native Set the standard for high‑quality code and lead complex software systems development Significantly influence technical decisions, contribute to technical strategy discussions, and shape product/domain decisions with an expert understanding of engineering best practices Mentor junior and senior engineers and provide constructive feedback Master multiple technologies and stay ahead of the curve with new tools and trends Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and fault‑tolerant systems, with a deep understanding of complex software development architecture and design patterns Lead and collaborate on complex initiatives, and drive feedback and growth across teams Drive process improvements and lead by example with advanced experience in multiple software development processes Skills You Should HODL 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applications Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React Native frameworks Strong experience of API design, security, and performance optimization Experience with Next.js and WebSockets Experience with frontend testing frameworks Familiarity with modern front‑end build pipelines and tooling Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles Experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup Hands‑on experience in consumer payments, crypto or fintech mobile applications Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Nice to haves Familiarity with native mobile app development (iOS/Android) Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. To lead this effort, we’re hiring a General Manager, Embed and Ramp to own and scale Kraken Embed and Kraken Ramp . This is a senior, high-impact GM role with end-to-end accountability for business outcomes. You’ll operate with a startup mindset inside Kraken’s shared platform model — growing revenue, driving adoption, and building durable partner relationships, while leveraging existing Kraken infrastructure across exchange, payments, blockchain, compliance, and risk. This role requires a commercial, externally oriented leader who understands how to grow B2B or B2B2C services, build a sales pipeline, and translate partner needs into scalable product strategy.
