Location: Galway (Onsite) Salary: Up to €80,000 per annum A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Galway is seeking an experienced Senior Qualified Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practice accountant with strong technical expertise to progress their career in a client-focused, dynamic environment. The Role As a Senior Qualified Accountant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and provide high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services. You will be responsible for delivering compliance work, reviewing junior staff output, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. This role is ideal for an Irish Accountant with proven experience in practice accounting and a strong understanding of statutory accounts, VAT, and tax compliance. Key Responsibilities * Preparation and review of statutory financial statements as a Senior Qualified Accountant. * Management and submission of VAT returns for clients across multiple sectors. * Preparation and review of Personal Tax and Corporate Tax returns. * Advising clients on tax planning and compliance matters as a trusted Practice Accountant. * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a senior point of contact for their accounting needs. * Mentoring and reviewing work of junior accountants, supporting their development within the practice. * Ensuring all work complies with Irish accounting and tax regulations, demonstrating expertise as an Irish Accountant. Requirements * ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified (Senior Qualified Accountant). * Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice (Practice Accountant experience essential). * Extensive experience in statutory accounts, VAT, Personal Tax, and Corporate Tax. * Excellent technical knowledge of Irish tax and compliance regulations. * Strong communication skills with the ability to manage clients and team members effectively. * Must be able to work onsite in Galway.
