As a Public Area Attendant, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness in all of the public areas of the hotel including, lobby areas, guest fitness centre, guest laundry, corridors, and stairwells. You may also be required to clean guest rooms and replenish amenities. Clean public areas and bathrooms. Vacuum corridors and stairways. Change and replenish towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines. Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks. Restock and maintain trolley on a daily basis. Report any missing or damaged items and own the responsibility to ensure that the items are replaced or repaired to create an uninterrupted stay for the Guest. Ensure that all public areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Be environmentally aware. Dispose of waste accordingly. Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation. Carry out lost property procedures. The Role: As Night Porter, you will offer night-hour assistance, including luggage handling and package deliveries, to guests in order to create an exceptional experience from check-in through check-out. Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner. Assist Guests with luggage and other requests, as necessary. Deliver guest mail, newspapers, and express check-out bills to rooms. Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times. Collect room service/breakfast cards. Assist Night Management with fire management and walks. Enhance fire procedures and react in case of an emergency. Act in accordance with all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these, as required. Attend appropriate training courses when required, and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts. Demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area. Assist and support other departments as necessary. Report any defects found in the bedroom, corridors, or public areas to the Head of department. Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, always ensuring guest satisfaction. Be an integral part of the hotel team, working and cooperating with colleagues to enhance the guest experience. Have knowledge of SALT and positively contribute to the department and hotel scores. Follow company control procedures in accordance with company checklists. Manage your working rota efficiently, ensuring you are always prepared for work; your trolley and caddy are stocked appropriately. Consider wastage without compromising standards.
