Job Description: Cambridge Primary Teacher (Year 4)
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cambridge Primary Teacher for Year 4 who can confidently deliver all core subjects, including English, Environmental Science, Mathematics, and Art & Design. The ideal candidate will also be able to teach any Second Language subject (Tamil, Hindi, or French) and serve as both a Subject Teacher and Advisory (Homeroom) Teacher.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Deliver engaging and age‑appropriate lessons across multiple subject areas within the Cambridge Primary curriculum (Year 4).
Teach an additional Second Language (Tamil, Hindi, or French) as required. Plan, prepare, and present differentiated lessons to cater to the diverse needs and ability levels in the class.
Use imaginative and stimulating activities to motivate students and enhance learning.
Take responsibility for the academic progress and holistic development of primary‑age students.
Class Advisory / Homeroom Duties
Provide pastoral care and guidance as the Advisory Teacher for the class.
Maintain accurate records of daily attendance and student leave.
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents to share updates on student progress and well‑being.
Offer booster/support classes to students requiring additional academic assistance.
Oversee general homeroom administrative tasks and class management.
Assessment & Reporting
Prepare, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student assignments.
Maintain comprehensive records to track and evaluate each student’s development.
Meet institutional and curriculum requirements for assessments and reporting.
Provide timely, meaningful feedback to parents on student performance and growth.
Collaboration & School Engagement
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, coordinate, and deliver curriculum activities.
Participate in school events, celebrations, outings, and co‑curricular activities.
Undertake special tasks, ad‑hoc duties, and assignments as required by the school.
Job Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience in primary‑level education.
Pedagogical certification (e.g., CICTL) is highly preferred.
Prior experience with Cambridge Primary, IB (PYP/MYP/DP), IGCSE, CBSE, or ICSE curriculum frameworks is an added advantage.
Ability to teach and communicate effectively in Hindi or Tamil as a Second Language is an added advantage.
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for shaping young learners.
