About the role To support the commercial sales team in the growth of Bloom feeds, Calf Milk Replacer (CMR), minerals and other seasonal products along with providing on-farm nutrition guidance to Kerry milk suppliers/purchasers of feed from Kerry agribusiness. The position is field-based with a requirement to work from the Manufacturing Feed Mill in Farranfore for circa 1 day per week. Travel within the Kerry milk supplier region will be required on a regular basis with some other travel required to match business requirements. Key responsibilities Duties and responsibilities: Co-ordinate a nutrition support service with the commercial team on a weekly basis. Conduct dedicated structured farm visits accompanying a member of the commercial team. Be the first point of contact for handling nutrition/feed quality issues on farm (e.g., Milk fever, low butterfat/protein %, feed shortage, diet feeder, diet formulation, and overcoming objections to the reluctance of customers not using Bloom feeds). Develop nutrition guidelines and offer training on a regular basis to store staff on the Bloom feed range including minerals and milk replacer products. Liaise with the team at the mill in Farranfore and external service providers on the development of potential new feeds/feed related products (i.e., course mixes, dry cow minerals, new feed additive technologies). Taking ownership of this process will form an integral part of the role. Attend trade shows and speaker opportunities at farmer-facing events to promote the Bloom feed range. Enable and up-skill the sales team to overcome objections on farm to up-sell, supported by the Commercial Ruminant Nutritionist where needed. Engage with key stakeholders who directly and indirectly impact the Bloom feeds business to cascade information up and down the chain. Support the participation in trade association activities where applicable, to proactively engage on policy discussions, understand new regulation to enable the business to have a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Key responsibilities Innovation & Ideation Participate as a proactive partner as a team member of project/development teams and provide regulatory expertise and advisement on ingredients (are they approved for use in application), on claims, and certifications throughout the development process. Provide regulatory information for new development and innovation. Provide regulatory interpretation and regulatory advice to internal stakeholders and customers. Internal stakeholders Manage emerging issues & first escalations, be the point of contact to internal stakeholders as required. RSA and GBS work closely together to provide a seamless, fast, and consistent response to requests. EUM managers in RSA and GBS have regular meetings for customer needs. GBS is incorporated into appropriate regional all-staff meetings to stay informed of RSA and updates to business will be provided as needed through interactions outlined in deliverables. Be the in-region support for your colleagues in Global Business Services (GBS) ensuring that the GBS team are invited to relevant meetings and are kept informed of relevant in-region updates that may have an impact on their role. Training and onboarding partner of Regulatory colleagues & other functions as required. Commercialisations & Labelling Reviews the commercialisation process, for all relevant labelling and formatting compliance. Performs same comprehensive review and approvals required for formula changes through Kerry internal process. Customer/ external engagement Working closely with the senior R&SA scientist to ensure they are up to date with the latest development of relevant industry regulations and regulatory trends across the region and share with relevant stakeholders. Support the participation in trade association where applicable. Proactively business partnering with EUM on specific customer opportunities, strategic customer engagements including customer presentations. Crisis Management & Plant Support where applicable. Prepares external certification requests as outlined at project brief and leads the cross-functional substantiation and documentation of all claims in accordance with current country regulations. Completion of key strategic customer documentation that are retained under Regional remit, according to business strategic plans. Qualifications and skills Relevant degree in a Scientific/Technical field (or equivalent experience). 1-5 years' experience. Food and beverage industry experience ideally, in regulatory, QA or RD&A. Ability to work accurately and quickly in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and with the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility & Agility to meet business requirements. Beware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent us.
