  • Health & Safety Manager  

    - Ballybay

    Overview We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Monaghan! This is a 1 year Fixed Term contract which reports to the Site Manager. Responsibilities Record and investigate all accidents on site, monitor trends and produce statistics for BU managers Ongoing development and implementation of improved Health and Safety practices, policies and procedures on the site. Lead in house training with managers and employees Enforce the effective operation of Safety and Health practices and policies in conjunction with Business Unit Managers Develop and budget with the Site Manager effective training policies for implementation on the site. Engage proactively with safety personnel Facilitate, support and advise the Site Risk Management teams. Chair the Site Safety meetings to update all business unit managers on developments at site level. Ensure all personnel are fully safety trained and competent for the role. Undertake risk assessments as required Assist business unit Managers to undertake risk assessments for all operations on site. Review Risk Assessments on a regular basis. Implement Internal Audit processes at site level and measure performance and action planning. A written safety report will be presented each month to the site manager for discussion with the Site H&S team identifying areas of risk, concern and recommendations for implementation on site. Undertake regular unscheduled Safety audits on the site to ensure compliance with Group policy. Enforce policy by identifying breaches and reporting to the Site Manager and the Group Health and Safety Manager Liaise with HSA and other outside agencies in relation to H&S matters including reporting, auditing and ensuring recommendations and guidelines are fully complied with. Qualifications Must have 2+ years Health and Safety experience ideally within Food or Manufacturing environment H&S Degree or Diploma Experience in a Training environment would be beneficial. Strong communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills. Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative without immediate hands on support.   • Kepak Food Safety & Quality (Technical) Graduate Programme 2026 - Ireland We are seeking to recruit for the 2025 Technical Graduate Programme at our location in Ballybay, Co.Monaghan Role Purpose The Graduate Scheme is designed to develop technical expertise within the meat processing industry, with a focus on Food Safety & Quality Control (QC). The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, Graduates will be trained to ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality, preparing them for potential future leadership roles such as a Site Technical Manager.
