Project Manager - Manufacturing Change Implementation (Medical Devices)
Our client, a leading organization in the medical device industry, is seeking an experienced onsite Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a critical change to raw materials used in lens production. This role involves coordinating efforts within the Limerick site while collaborating closely with global teams based in the United States.
The successful candidate will ensure efficient planning, execution, and closure of the project, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation and rollout of a raw material change across multiple manufacturing lines in a regulated medical device environment.
Independently manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables from initial planning through full documentation closure (project wraps up December 2026).
Organize and conduct regular cross‑functional meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, and align teams.
Collaborate with global colleagues in the US and Ireland, maintaining proactive communication and transparency throughout all phases of the project.
Escalate local challenges and issues to global leadership, ensuring timely resolution and protecting project milestones.
Oversee the closure phase, including comprehensive documentation required for regulatory compliance.
Serve as the onsite point of contact for project leadership while frequently engaging in global meetings, primarily in the afternoons.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years of project management experience within a highly regulated industry (medical devices strongly preferred).
Proven track record in manufacturing settings, including experience with Change Requests (CRs), BOM management, and Change Implementation processes.
Solid understanding of quality systems and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
Exceptional time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
Demonstrated “A‑Z” mentality: takes ownership from project initiation through to final documentation and closure.
Strong cross‑functional leadership and communication skills, comfortable engaging with diverse, international teams.
Willingness to work onsite full‑time in Limerick and participate in global virtual meetings during afternoon hours.
