We are always striving to be better Purpose of the Role The purpose of this role is to manage the quality at source to ensure that we are delivering our customers’ expectations.our Strategic Priorities Main Responsibilities People Management: Development and implementation of staff rosters to ensure adequate QA cover Managing/Monitoring Approved Budget and preparing monthly reports Agree team training and development plans as per the Company’s Policy and Performance Review Process Day-to-day management of the Quality Team To produce daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports Sending monthly details regarding quality team pay to HR team. To provide support, coaching and upskilling for the QA team Managing HR matters for quality team To provide support, coaching and upskilling for the QA team Product Quality Liaise with internal business contacts on any issues pertaining to Stock Quality Ensure produce sent to customer meets specification and legal requirement Ensure all quality inspections are completed as outlined in the procedures Ensure appropriate action plan are implemented Ensure effective management and support for internal auditing, customer complaints and periodic product reviews Process/System Continually review and develop Quality Assurance Systems for Intake and Production to meet Customer and Business requirements. Ensure that all quality procedures are updated, documented, successfully implemented, and adhered to Ensure audit readiness and participate in all regulatory audit and customer visits Ensure compliance checks are completed and ensure adherence to the quality system within QA/Production areas Ensure full compliance with guidelines as outlined in the Company’s Health & Safety Statement and governed by legislation. Complete accurate management information as and when required Any other duties / tasks as outlined by your manager. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Responsible for the day-to-day management of the QA Team Promote the achievement of customer QSL and DSL Managing QA Budget Staff training attendance and morale. Managing all QA inspections and reporting Optimum roster management and ensure efficient labour cost. Appraisal/Performance reviews conducted for all QA team quarterly/ annually Essential Key Skills & Knowledge Proven track record developing, implementing and managing Quality Systems within the Fresh Produce industry Good understanding of the requirements of major retailers. Knowledge of 3rd party auditing to a minimum of BRC standards. To have directly worked or to have a clear understanding of retail accreditation standards. Ability to work in a busy environment meeting time/budget deadline. Purpose Of The Role The buyer role is to support the Commercial Category Manager in the management of the day to day buying, operations and profitability of the category. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Undertake packhouse walks daily to check quality, quantities, reasons for rejection, shelf life, waste, etc. Develop sales forecasts for the planning and operations team on a weekly basis. Liaising with operations department on the production plan, stock allocation and efficiency savings. Stock planning on a weekly / monthly basis. Balance stock daily to ensure availability. Liaising with transport department to organise inbound and outbound transportation. Follow up on claims within category on level agreed with Procurement/ Category Manager. Compare actual demand against forecast and procure to manage gaps. Negotiation of the best possible pricing from suppliers. Review profitability of category and report into Head of Procurement in Procurement/ Category Manager’s absence. Reduce invoice queries and PO issues with Accounts Department. Deliver NPD / innovation through liaising with suppliers to identify new products and opportunities for Sales. Working with Procurement Category Manager, Technical and Sales counterparts to deliver quality and service level. Negotiation of pricing, specifications, promotions with customers in conjunction with S&M team. Meet all customer deadlines. Any other duties assigned by your Manager. Spot purchasing from the open market to protect against potential risks to the supply chain. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Delivery service level. Quality service level. Category waste %. Claims successfully attained. Accuracy of PO’s. Essential Key Skills & Knowledge Ability to work on own initiative on project based tasks. Attention to detail and proven problem solving skills. Results orientated. Highly numerate and analytical with ability to interpret data. Excellent IT skills e.g. MS Excel. Good Communication skills. Ability to build relationships and deal with customers and suppliers in a courteous and professional manner. Flexible and resilient. Desirable Previous buying experience within fresh produce industry highly desirable Education & Qualifications 3rd level education in Business, Procurement or related discipline. Qualification in CIPS or other similar procurement qualification desirable but not essential. Additional Relevant Information (e.g. requirement for travel, specific projects or targets for the role) This role may involve travel overseas from time to time in order to meet our grower base. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this person will be responsible for the development of new sales opportunities and work to maximize sales from existing customers. This role will involve extensive travel throughout Leinster to customer stores. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Plan and carry out marketing and sales activities to achieve agreed targets, volumes, values and margin. Purpose of the Role: To ensure that all produce being delivered to the company and all produce being dispatched is in accordance with the customer specification / procedures To promote knowledge of quality for the product/produce range To promote Good Manufacturing and Health and Safety Practices Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Ensure that all produce is inspected as outlined below, and meets the customer specifications /RM Spec. On arrival (intake) When the product is being packed (in process) and When the product is being dispatched * Shelf Life Inspections Completion of inspection quality records as required and in accordance with procedures. Conduct destructive testing where applicable and record the results to make sure all product meet customer specifications (Pressure, Brix) and highlight any Quarantine product Carrying out routine inspections according to documented Inspection & test procedures. Working with the team in intake and the Packhouse to ensure that all product is packed in accordance with procedures and to customer specifications Meet the KPIs set up by the QA manager (performances, accuracy of inspection / report,productivity, Zero EPW, reduction of customer rejections, ....) . To actively promote and adhere to health and safety protocols and be responsible for your own safety and that of your colleagues. Contributing to a safe work environment to minimise hazards and incidents in the workplace. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Performance pallets/ lines checked a day. Reduce customer rejections (QSL) Conduct daily handover with accurate and appropriate information. Maintain a high standard of hygiene. Perform in a health and safety manner the daily tasks. Completion of functional checks in a timely and efficient manner Key Skills & Knowledge I.T. skills and mathematic skills Literate and numerate Due to the nature of the work, must be physically fit The person must be flexible with working hours Must have an understanding of inspection methodology and test and inspection equipment Must have good attendance record/ Good punctuality record/ Good disciplinary record Previous experience is a distinct advantage. Purpose of the Role: To focus on delivering our strategic sourcing objectives to double the business over the next 7 years through constant focus on our customers and products. Constantly support our sales teams to develop and provide support and mentoring to them as well as new starters to realize success for them and the business Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Develop and grow sales within our existing supply base and identify new suppliers and regions of supply in line with strategy and budget Management of margin in line with our sales growth plans Negotiate annual JBP,LTA and other agreements with suppliers Negotiate event,seasonal,weekly, monthly and annual raw material prices Annual budgeting responsibility in line with company objectives Draft competitive tenders to win new and maintain existing business whilst giving full consideration to profitability Price and deliver seasonal programs for our customers Product Input into the development of market leading and differentiated ranges through our NPD process Coordinate our weekly buying requirements Input into the development ranges for the big 4 seasonal events - Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, & Easter Coordinate and arrange event buying requirements with our internal buying teams and our suppliers Detailed raw material departure plans - by event, by day and by supplier Continually benchmark our offering versus the market in product range, price and competitiveness Continuously review category performances and host weekly category meetings Supply Chain Work with key National and International suppliers both existing and potential Work on a consolidation model to optimise our supply chain from the Netherlands to Ireland Grower visits and quality checks Coordinate event production requirements in the Netherlands on key lines for key events Develop more direct sources of supply / Open new lines of supply to reduce our cost base Negotiate our annual contracts around our volume lines including but not limited to chrysanthemums, lilies and mini gerberas. People Conduct regular reviews with the team and ensure we are continuously developing their capability Liaise with all department heads on day to day issues as well as our strategic objectives Lead in supplier and customer meetings and presentations Core Competencies Ability to communicate well with all stakeholders Excellent knowledge of excel and concise detail required Ability to work on own initiative Ability to analyse and report accurate information Good organizational and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment and take on additional ad hoc tasks as and when required. Flexibility around business peaks. Decision maker Key Skills & Knowledge At least 10 years' experience in supply and purchasing of flowers for European & UK retailers BQ design and costing capability At least 10 years' experience in customer and category management Excellent English and Dutch both written and spoken Recruitment Process 1.
