Job Title: Operations Manager Location: [Outside Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland] Salary: Competitive, circa €50,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Reporting To: Farm Director/Owners The Organisation This farm is a leading, fast-paced, commercial fruit farm and supplier based in Wexford. We are dedicated to producing the highest quality grown produce for the Irish retail market. As a core link in the national food supply chain, our packhouse operation is critical to our success as a food producer. The Role Summary This is a hands-on management position responsible for the smooth running of all packhouse operations, including logistics, quality assurance, customer coordination, and team leadership. You will ensure produce meets retailer specifications and Bord Bia standards while driving efficiency and productivity. Key Responsibilities Customer & Commercial Management Act as main contact for retail customers, ensuring all quality, packing, and delivery requirements are met Oversee order processing, packing, dispatch, and service performance reporting Operations & Logistics Manage harvest-to-dispatch supply chain, transport scheduling, and workflow efficiency Plan staffing and shifts to maximise productivity and reduce waste Quality & Compliance Ensure full compliance with Bord Bia, HACCP, and food safety standards Oversee grading, inspection, traceability, and audit documentation Inventory Management Manage stock levels of packaging materials and oversee produce storage and rotation Leadership & Safety Lead, train, and supervise packhouse staff and drivers Maintain strong health, safety, and performance standards Administration & Systems Coordinate with farm and admin teams and maintain accurate production and stock records Candidate Profile Requirements 35 years experience in food production, fresh produce, logistics, or packhouse operations Knowledge of food safety standards and Bord Bia compliance Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems Flexibility with seasonal working hours Desirable: Forklift licence and/or relevant qualification in operations, supply chain, or food science.
