Scope: Assist in leading a team of skilled maintenance professionals in a large, dynamic, and fast paced linen processing facility. Enhance plant efficiency through pro-active maintenance and support Responsible for Lean and CI programs Ensure Efficiencies are Maintained throughout the Year Maintain an orderly, safe, and secure working environment to the highest standards Oversee first class customer service in conjunction with Maintenance and Process Improvement Manager and Head of Operations Liaising with QHSE Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external standards, overseeing adherence to same Assist in Performance management of maintenance team Responsibilities (non-exhaustive) Act for Maintenance and Process Improvement Manager in his absence Provide specialist electrical and general maintenance services to: - Power distribution - Lighting - Machine electrical systems - Steam - Pneumatics - Fittings - Transmissions Promote a continuous improvement culture. At all times be aware of the safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work while instilling an overall culture of safety and security. Work with and assume responsibility for third party contractors as and when required by the business.These must be costed and if approved they must be scheduled as part of weekly preventative maintenance. You are responsible for sign off on completion of each task with the outside contractor and ensuring the piece of machinery is returned to operations in full working condition. Maximising production up time through proactive or preventative maintenance and prioritising reactive maintenance in co-ordination with production team. Maintain plant, buildings, and services to the highest standards of workmanship. Work within the maintenance budget in collaboration with the Maintenance and Process Improvement Manager Initiate and present proposals for maintenance projects Ensuring adequate storage of spares in conjunction with stores manager Organise and communicate weekly maintenance rotas, ensuring staff adherence to protocol and attendance requirements. Attend regular engineering team meetings when necessary, co-ordinating strategy, and resources To set up regular engineering team meeting in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager to look at including members of the operations team in these meetings on a periodical basis as relevant Completion of administrative records, ensuring compliance with company standards Collaborate with operations to develop highly efficient processes Co-ordinate with HR, sales, customer service and finance to enhance and refine wider business strategy Assist with all aspects of HR related tasks for the maintenance team Maintain and keep up to date with management skills to carry out your duties Requirements: Trade qualified fitter with a strong grasp of mechanical and electrical systems and how they work At least 2 years in a Supervisory position Understanding of mechanical systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, automation) Attention to detail Communication skills Knowledge of schematics and blueprints Excellent communication skills for liaising with all departments Excellent level of English Confidentiality Please ensure all applications together with CV’s are submitted by the closing date, Saturday 28thMarch 2026 Johnsons Celtic Linen is an equal opportunities employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
