  • Evolution Production Manager

As Production Manager within our Evolution Department, you will lead and coordinate all manufacturing activities for our innovative smart agri-tech products that integrate advanced engineering and technology. This is a hands‑on role where you will champion operational excellence and help to build a culture of continuous improvement. Based at JFC’s Headquarters in Tuam, Co. Galway, this position offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of smart manufacturing within a progressive, innovation‑driven environment. Key duties and Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day production operations, ensuring quality, output, and efficiency targets are consistently met. Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory plans. Track and report on production KPIs including throughput, efficiency, downtime and yield. Champion a Safety Always culture ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Collaborate closely with R&D and Operations teams to introduce new products and technologies into production seamlessly. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other structured problem‑solving methods to reduce waste and improve productivity. Optimise labour, equipment, and material resources to maximise efficiency and maintain cost‑effective operations. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation in line with company requirements. Work closely with service and after‑sales teams to ensure product readiness, quality feedback, and performance improvements. Responsible for all aspects of production administration. Oversee the purchase of components, and consumables in line with production needs. Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and empower teams. Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, and resource planning. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, People First approach. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, Performance powered, Innovation Inspired and Quality Driven environment. The position requires a strong candidate who can demonstrate initiative, innovation, and drive to succeed within a fast-paced environment. This position will be based in our Headquarters in Tuam, Co Galway. Key Duties And Responsibilities Work on new product development within the Evolution R&D team Build prototypes, conduct laboratory and field testing Create CAD models and detailed drawings for manufacture Prepare detailed reports on results of testing Work closely with electronics / software disciplines on control system integration Develop concepts through all stages of the mechanical design process Conduct and participate in technical design reviews Manage development schedules to project timelines Document designs and specifications based on the ISO 9001 QMS Any other duties as specified by Engineering Team Lead Desired Skills And Experience Bachelor or Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical 3+ years of relevant industrial experience within a design environment Excellent 3D CAD Skills with CREO, Solidworks or similar Good understanding of design for manufacture is essential Experience in DFMEA’s and risk management techniques a key advantage Strong teamwork skills with a results-oriented commitment.
