About The Opportunity We are seeking a Governance & Controls Manager to work on a large client partner project in Dublin. This will be to provide support to the PMO Lead in carrying out the review, development and implementation of project controls and standards to ensure the successful delivery of the project. BusConnects is a strategic national-level intervention for Ireland that will enhance sustainable transportation and the environment by upgrading walking, cycling and bus infrastructure in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford. We have been appointed by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as their Client Partner to deliver Dublin’s BusConnects infrastructure. This will include providing programme management and multi-disciplinary expertise over a 10-year programme to deliver 12 schemes comprising 230 kilometres of continuous bus priority corridors and 200 kilometres of cycle paths and improved pedestrian facilities from procurement through to handover of this new infrastructure. The role would suit someone from a civil engineering background with specific experience on highways/roads. Key responsibilities (not limited to): Support the PMO Lead in establishing and leading the Governance and Assurance sub-functional area. Assume the responsibility for the performance management of internal personnel. Develop and maintain a detailed resourcing plan and oversee the day-to-day activities of the personnel deployed on the project. Here's what you'll need: Experience in governance and controls with proven experience leading governance and controls activities across the project lifecycle through to completion, in high value Road and / or Infrastructure project. Developing and implementing programme controls frameworks and processes, including improvement practices, across large programmes and multi-disciplinary teams. Here's what you'll need Degree in Civil Engineering and you should be nearing Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent. Understanding of TII Publications, UK DMRB Experience in the design of Major Highway, Local Road or Active Travel schemes. Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills and capable of managing a challenging workload subject to change at short notice. Experience of 3D Civils would be an advantage.
