You will support the quality control aspects of instrument manufacture & support resolution of issues in a timely manner to ensure daily output targets are achieved. You will compile, maintain & review all necessary paperwork and test data for each system/module to ensure that accurate Quality records are available leading to the final assessment of our devices prior to shipment. Your qualifications and experience: You will have a minimum of a QQI Level 6 qualification (Diploma or higher) in Engineering or Science Discipline (Bio-Chemistry, Chemical, Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or other relevant technical background) or Diploma / Trade qualification with relevant experience in automation / system manufacturing or support. You will possess relevant experience in Quality Control and complex instrumentation inspection. You will have a minimum of 2 years-experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment being a part of a teams with good communications skills, written & verbal. Siemens Healthineers is recruiting a Customer Service Engineer to be based in the Dublin region to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a range of medical diagnostic equipment and address customer support issues promptly and professionally. This is a field-based role with significant requirement to work at customer sites, mainly in the Leinster region but sometimes in other areas of Ireland. Your role: Work in cooperation with the Customer Care Centre to carry out service, maintenance, updates and installation of Siemens Healthineers products within your designated product range and assist under supervision with other products. When applicable provide out of hours technical service support and complete individual mandatory weekend working provision. Attend product training courses (in Ireland and abroad) and work toward completion of Siemens Professional Certificate in order to build competence in providing technical assistance and support to customers. Identify any opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of team processes. Maintain good communications and team working with all Managers and Colleagues. Escalate as appropriate situations where customer satisfaction is compromised, or contractual obligations are unlikely to be met. Understand and comply with Siemens work instructions, quality policy and codes of conduct policies and regulatory requirements at all times. Ensure material parts are processed in accordance with policy. Complete personal administration in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain all test equipment, tools and company property in good and working order. Your expertise: 3rd level qualification at or equivalent to NFQ level 7 in an Electronics or Electrical discipline. Applicants with an NFQ Level 6 qualification with relevant experience will also be considered. This is a field-based role offering considerable independence. Ideally you will have previous field service experience where you have undertaken fault finding on electronic equipment. You will also be required to have strong IT, Microsoft Office and Networking Infrastructure skills. Your customer facing skills will be invaluable, as you will be required to interface with customers and staff at all levels within Siemens / Third parties, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers and must quickly gain the respect of others, both colleagues and customers at all levels. You must hold a full driving license, valid for driving in Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Additional Information: A flexible approach to travel, providing out of hours technical support and working planned weekend and evening work is required. Attendance of training courses and technical seminars in Ireland and abroad will also be required. Candidates can expect to spend circa 4 hours travelling each day. Dublin Your tasks and responsibilities: As a key member of the team, you will be part of a highly innovative production and Quality network working to deliver high Quality product to serve the needs of laboratories of any size - today and tomorrow. Act as a key liaison and knowledge transfer champion among Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Production and Documentation Control. Assess suppliers’ capability to meet quality requirements based on data analysis and supplier audit. As a follow-on activity create concise reports that enable project teams to implement improvements and corrective actions. Use statistical analysis to support suppliers and drive regulatory standards of excellence. Develop world-class supply chain processes to suit a low volume, high complexity multi-technology environment (diagnostic instrumentation). Work with suppliers in a wide range of Quality relevant areas such as First Articles, general Quality and Regulatory requirements. Work with suppliers on corrective & Preventative Actions, Root Cause Investigations, conduct Supplier Performance Reviews and reporting of Key Supplier Quality metrics. Your qualifications and experience: Proven experience in Medical Devices QMS to develop world-class supply chain processes to suit a low volume, high complexity multi-technology environment (diagnostic instrumentation). Have lead projects to manage suppliers to deliver quality product to internal customers, through product & process investigations & evaluations. Identified and driven process improvements with suppliers. You will have focused on and been responsible for Supplier process improvements and updating quality system procedures to achieve both fully compliant and lean processes with suppliers. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (ideally Quality, Engineering or Science). 8 years’ relevant experience in a regulated environment with a core appreciation of FDA regulations and Risk Management incl. writing and / or reviewing Quality related procedures, plans and reports. Your attributes and skills: High paced individual who is eager and passionate in developing and delivering quality solutions in close collaboration with suppliers & key stakeholders. Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams to drive workscope to completion. Self-starter, bias for action with ability to follow assignment through to completion. Good organization skills. Cross technology and cross discipline collaboration skills. Aptitude for systems level thinking, including development of standard operating procedures. Ability to write structured, concise, unambiguous technical English with high attention to detail. Core understanding of statistical analysis and design of experiment experience. Familiar with statistical software packages e.g., Minitab. Computer literacy (including MS Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ MS Project) and Interface to Product Lifecycle tools such as SAP, Teamcenter or other. Presentation skills whereby complex messages can be presented to an auditor/ inspector in a succinct manner i.e., ability to present and to sell convincingly. Understanding of Immunology, Biochemistry & Hematology diagnostic technologies would be an advantage.
