Job Description: The successful candidate will be a key leader responsible for driving the commercial strategy and revenue generation activities of the organisation. Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, this role leads the commercial team to deliver high-impact partnerships, develop new business opportunities, and ensure seamless execution of commercial operations across all platforms.
The position is full time and is being offered on a 1-year fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave. The role will be based at our Head Office, 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

Role Overview: The Head of Commercial is a key leadership role responsible for driving the commercial strategy and revenue generation activities of the organisation. Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, this role leads the commercial team to deliver high-impact partnerships, develop new business opportunities, and ensure seamless execution of commercial operations across all platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities: Provide dynamic leadership and direction to the commercial team, ensuring high performance and delivery of key objectives.
Partner closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to oversee the planning, development, and execution of all commercial activities.
Lead business development efforts, identifying and securing new revenue opportunities in alignment with strategic commercial targets.
Contribute to the growth of current revenue channels, including match ticketing and 10-Year Ticket sales.
Liaise with Provincial Commercial Leads, Six Nations & Nations Cup partnerships teams to maximise collaborative opportunities.
Oversee and enhance the delivery of all match day commercial activations and sponsorship requirements.
Support and input into the development and implementation of an innovative digital commercial plan to strengthen the organisation’s digital footprint and monetisation strategies.
Performance Measures: The job holder’s performance will be measured against the following criteria:
Proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team with minimal supervision.

Effective relationship management with existing and prospective sponsors and partners.

Tangible value creation through strategic commercial initiatives.
KPIs to be agreed with successful candidates.
