    Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions. This role ensures that all invoices are processed efficiently and accurately, maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors, supporting the finance team with reporting and reconciliation tasks. Key Responsibilities (This job description outlines the primary duties and requirements of the position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. IMI reserves the right to amend and change the job description as necessary): Process and issue sales invoices, ensuring all relevant invoicing details are correct Issue monthly customer statements and support cash collection activities through email and phone communication Review, approve and issue purchase orders Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and process vendor invoices Prepare monthly vendor reconciliations Collate information to be provided to external payroll providers Prepare and process monthly journals Process cash receipts and payments daily Prepare weekly bank and credit card reconciliations Process staff expenses Responsible for maintaining “finance” email Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries Support other administration tasks within the Finance Department as required Required Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Candidate should be a part qualified accountant/ accounts technician with 2+ years' experience in similar role Strong working knowledge of core accounting principles and procedures Experience of Microsoft accounting packages (Business Central) desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general IT skills Personal Qualities & Attributes Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving abilities Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-driven and well-organized with the ability to work independently and show initiative Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task effectively Professional, courteous manner when dealing with internal and external customers Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines Willing to learn and develop knowledge of accounting systems and procedures About us Leadership. The role holder is responsible for providing strategic financial direction, ensuring financial compliance, and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting to support organisational decision‑making and growth.
