Advise internal stakeholders on the negotiation and applicability of all key legal terms, and legal risks associated with contracting activity. Design and enhance legal processes and policies to optimise legal contracting operations. Provide expert legal due diligence advice on procurement processes for vendor risk management. Regulatory & Compliance Provide accurate, timely, and commercially driven legal advice and assistance across all areas of the business including business assurance activities and testing. Participate in the management of the legal risk register by identifying, assessing and closing out mitigation strategies. Conduct comprehensive legal reviews of company documentation (policies, tenders, client enterprise risk management materials and marketing materials). Lead horizon scanning activities for emerging legislation, with a particular focus on company law requirements and related EU regulatory developments impacting commercial insurance activities. Assist and advise internal stakeholders on all Freedom of Information matters. Deliver and support relevant legal training programmes across the business to assist with practical application of internal and external legal and governance requirements. Support the Head of Legal and internal stakeholders on insurance product development and internal reviews of insurance policies. Business Support Respond to business requests for statutory and regulatory analysis to assess impact on business practices. Liaise with risk, compliance and data protection teams, to provide practical guidance and promote awareness of compliance obligations across the wider business. Actively engage in company projects and initiatives to contribute to a positive working environment.
