  • Join to apply for the Staff Analog Design Engineer (f/m/div) role at Infineon Technologies . Infineon is a leader in automotive semiconductor innovation. We are building a new team in Cork to work on our Automotive Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) products for applications in battery management, smart sensing and human‑machine interfaces (HMI). This role requires expertise in analog design, digital design, digital verification, mixed‑signal verification, chip‑level integration, project management and ISO safety requirements. Responsibilities Participate in planning and scheduling of development projects. Perform circuit and system design feasibility for required features, functions and performance. Develop schematics for circuit blocks and verify features, functions and performance with simulation. Perform layout or work with the layout design group for the physical implementation of circuit blocks. Generate collateral for circuit blocks as required by the chip integration flow, including LEF, dotlib, behavioral and EMIR supporting views. Document all aspects of developed circuit blocks per the IP flow specifications. Develop test collateral for circuit blocks including test vectors. Execute testing and debug of circuit block behavior and performance with silicon product. Make corrections to circuit blocks as needed. Assist with capturing learning resulting from debugging and correction of circuit blocks. Engage in cross‑organizational communication related to definition and execution of circuit blocks. Qualifications 2 to 4 years of experience with PhD EE or 3 to 5 years of experience with MS EE or 5 to 7 years of experience with BS EE. Familiarity with analog and linear circuit design. Experience with converter, amplifier, reference, regulator or oscillator design with demonstrated working circuit results. Design experience in FinFet technology nodes is preferred. Job Description As a Principal Design Architect, you will be part of different phases of the development process, interacting closely with other teams, like Design and Application Engineering. Requirements A University Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering Approximately 10+ years of experience and knowledge of digital micro-architecture concepts as well as deep expertise in one or more focused areas (e.g., signal processing, automotive communication protocols) or CPU subsystem areas (e.g., bus infrastructure, memory subsystem design) Experience with embedded CPUs (e.g. Arm Cortex, ARC, RISC-V) and AHB/AXI interconnects would be beneficial Knowledge of Functional Safety and/or cybersecurity concepts (ISO 26262, ISO 21434) Proficiency in digital design and HDL capture (e.g., Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog) Proficiency in software programming languages (e.g., C, C++) Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python) Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads Application Please send us your CV in English.
