You will operate as a senior technical expert - deeply hands‑on while influencing major product and platform decisions. This hybrid role is based at our AI development hub at Windmill Lane, Dublin 2. Responsibilities Architect, design, and implement large‑scale AI/ML systems spanning NLP, deep learning, generative AI, agentic frameworks, and RAG‑based pipelines. Develop production‑grade model training, evaluation, and monitoring workflows that support scalable, repeatable deployments. Build and enhance automated data processing frameworks, including ingestion, cleaning, transformation, feature engineering, and validation. Lead major AI‑driven projects in close collaboration with engineering, product management, user experience, and platform teams. Provide senior‑level technical mentorship to data scientists, ML engineers, and cross‑functional partners, elevating modeling rigor and engineering excellence. Establish and refine best practices related to ML reproducibility, model governance, observability, fairness, and responsible AI principles. Conduct applied research on emerging ML methods—including LLM adaptation, prompting strategies, model optimization, vector search/RAG, and agent‑based orchestration—and translate findings into high‑impact product capabilities. Prototype, experiment, evaluate, and operationalize new AI features, contributing to the advancement of our AI/ML roadmap. Present technical insights, modeling results, and architectural recommendations to senior leadership and contribute to roadmap prioritization. Support product teams in identifying opportunities for AI integration, offering guidance on feasibility, complexity, and expected value. Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure models and pipelines meet performance, reliability, and scalability expectations. Participate in external knowledge‑sharing opportunities, contributing to iCIMS’ reputation in the AI/ML community when appropriate. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience). 10+ years of hands‑on experience developing machine learning, deep learning, NLP, or generative AI systems in production environments. Proven experience leading complex AI/ML initiatives from initial research through deployment. Strong software engineering skills, including experience with distributed systems, scalable ML infrastructure, and MLOps workflows. Demonstrated ability to mentor technical contributors and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional peers. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business‑oriented insights and influence decision‑making.
