A leading European renewable energy developer is preparing to deliver a major utility-scale Solar Farm located near Athlone, Ireland. With mobilisation planned for February/March 2026. This role will sit client-side and the successful individual will be the developer’s key presence on site, overseeing safety, quality and progress throughout the full project lifecycle, and providing weekly reporting and updates to the Project Manager. Key Responsibilities: * Act as the full-time client representative on site throughout the 18-month delivery timeline * Monitor and enforce health, safety and environmental standards during all construction activities * Oversee and inspect work fronts to ensure compliance with design, quality standards and project specifications * Track and review construction progress against programme, identifying risks or delays early * Produce weekly progress reports highlighting status, risks, non-conformances and mitigation actions * Provide clear escalation and communication between the EPC, subcontractors and the client’s Project Manager * Participate in site reviews, walkdowns, readiness assessments and quality inspections Qualifications & Experience: * Experience as a Site Manager, Client Rep or Construction Supervisor on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects * Utility-scale Solar experience preferred; however, candidates from substations, high-voltage T&D, or large-scale renewable construction will also be considered * Strong understanding of site based HSE processes, RAMS, quality standards and report writing xsokbrc * Ability to effectively manage contractors while maintaining an impartial client view * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Contract Details: * Start: February/March 2026 * Duration: 18 months * Location: Athlone, Ireland (full-time site presence) This represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager or Client Representative to support the delivery of a landmark Irish Solar project from early mobilisation through to completion and handover. A leading European renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to act as their client-side representative across three grid stability project sites in the northwest of Ireland (Sligo and Derry). Two of the sites have already mobilised, with civil works progressing and construction activity expected to increase significantly from mid-January. This is a single-resource requirement covering all three locations, with an expectation of strong on-site presence (approximately four days per week), ensuring quality, safety, progress and contractor performance are consistently maintained. Key Responsibilities * Act as the developer’s on-site representative ("boots on the ground") across three project locations * Monitor progress against programme milestones and ensure timely escalation of risks or delays * Oversee electrical and civil contractors to ensure quality workmanship aligned with project specifications * Maintain strong focus on HSE fundamentals and promote safe site behaviours * Conduct site walkdowns, inspections and readiness reviews for key work fronts * Support pre-commissioning and energisation activities where relevant * Provide clear weekly reporting and structured feedback to the senior project team Qualifications & Experience * Strong electrical background essential – preference for candidates who began as electricians and progressed into supervisory roles * Substation construction experience is highly desirable (AIS or GIS), including exposure to HV works, control rooms and M&E packages * Demonstrable understanding of site safety and contractor management in complex, high-voltage environments * Previous experience on synchronous condensers, BESS, HV interconnectors or other grid-stability assets is beneficial but not mandatory Location xsokbrc & Working Pattern * Sites located in Northern Republic and Northern Ireland * Ideal candidate will already live in the northwest region * Expected pattern: around four days per week on site across the three locations, with one day from home Contract Details * Contract: Long-term (multi-site delivery programme) * Start: Immediate availability or short notice preferred This position offers the opportunity to play a key delivery role in a unique and technically significant part of Ireland’s future grid stability strategy, supporting grid infrastructure across multiple live sites. A leading energy organisation is preparing for a major multi-year overhaul of a key hydro power facility in Ireland. This programme includes full machine inspections, generator and transformer refurbishment, C&I upgrades and an extensive balance of plant scope. They are now seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the project team on site and take responsibility for the delivery of all electrical elements of the overhaul. This role requires a strong background in power-generation maintenance, contractor management and heavy electrical plant. Role Overview: The Lead Electrical Engineer will support the Project Manager in planning and delivering a complex, high-risk maintenance programme involving generator rotor pulls, transformer upgrades, switchgear inspections, electrical testing and significant balance of plant work. Key Responsibilities: * Lead all electrical activities associated with the overhaul programme, ensuring compliance with statutory safety, health and environmental requirements. * Manage EPC electrical contracts and additional electrical work scopes as assigned. * Liaise with internal engineering teams to ensure technical protocols, standards and procedures are correctly followed. * Develop and support the implementation of Inspection & Test Plans for electrical work packages. * Oversee quality performance in line with the Project Quality Plan, including review of ITPs and protocol sheets. * Act as day-to-day site lead for electrical contractors, supervising works and ensuring adherence to programme and safety expectations. * Conduct regular electrical safety, environmental and quality audits. * Support site management and maintenance teams throughout the project. * Report progress against schedule and participate in project meetings. * Assist with cost control for assigned contracts and electrical plant scopes. * Attend FATs, workshops and technical inspections as required. Qualifications & Experience Essential: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in the power-generation industry. * Strong knowledge of generators, transformers, HV/MV/LV switchgear and associated electrical plant. * Proven experience planning and delivering major plant outages or overhauls. * Demonstrated capability managing contractors and overseeing EPC electrical works. * Excellent communication, documentation and reporting skills. * Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance. xsokbrc Contract Details: * Location: Co.
