About the Role: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Executive to join our dynamic team in Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Employee Benefits the successful candidate will be a motivated and detail-orientated individual, who wants to be part of our dynamic workforce and strives to build successful relationships with their colleagues across multiple departments in Ireland and the UK. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with our Employee Benefits (EB) Consultants to provide administrative and client support across group risk, pensions, group private medical insurance (PMI), dental, and wider employee wellbeing services. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient processing and management of employee benefit schemes. Overall purpose of the role Provide day-to-day administrative support to EB Consultants, ensuring smooth service delivery to both existing and prospective corporate clients. Process applications for new members and administer leavers across group pension, group risk, and group medical schemes. Issue pre-renewal documentation and process annual renewals for group pension and risk schemes. Maintain and manage individual workload effectively, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and high attention to detail. Build and sustain strong, professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurer partners. Keep abreast of developments and changes within the employee benefits sector, ensuring your knowledge remains current. Participate actively in personal development planning and take ownership of setting and meeting individual performance objectives. To keep their knowledge up to date by the use of e-learning, in-house courses, and studying for professional qualifications in order to gain the required CPD points. Generate Reports, benefit statements and analysis summaries for client reviews and internal use Contribute to projects and initiatives relating to digital transformation, client experience, or process automation within the department Collaborate with consultants to support employee engagement initiatives such as webinars, benefit fairs, or onboarding sessions. Adhere to Compliance as outlined in Staff Handbook and Procedures Manual About You: Minimum of 3 years' group pensions and/or group risk experience in either a brokerage or life office setting. Knowledge of group PMI and dental plans would be an advantage. QFA qualified with a willingness to undertake additional professional qualifications in the future. Excellent IT skills, in particular MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a busy environment. Working within Howden Ireland, you will liaise with clients, insurers, and third parties to ensure claims are handled promptly and fairly. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of claims across various insurance lines (e.g., motor, home, commercial, liability). Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the claims process. Informing Account Executives of any potential problems/issue effecting client expectations Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and third parties to progress claims efficiently. Review policy coverage, assess liability, and negotiate settlements where necessary. Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Maintain accurate claim records using Howden's management system. Reporting Claims to Insurers promptly Process claims documentation, ensuring all necessary information is collected and verified. Prepare Claims Experience for renewal submissions in a timely manner Prepare reports on claims trends and performance for senior management. Assist with auditing claims files to ensure quality control and regulatory compliance. Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalate them appropriately. Provide technical advice to clients on claims procedures and best practices. Support other departments with claims-related queries and policy interpretation. Assist with training junior team members on claims processes if required. Key Requirements: 2+ years' experience in claims handling, ideally within an insurance brokerage or insurer. Strong knowledge of general insurance policies and claims processes. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple claims. Proficiency in claims management systems. A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities. Experience dealing with commercial insurance claims. Familiarity with Central Bank of Ireland regulations related to claims handling. About the role The role will sit within the administration team and will provide full support to the inhouse Financial Planning Advisor team in all administration matters for both new business and management of existing clients. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end administration process associated with life, pensions, and protection products, ensuring a high standard of service delivery, compliance, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide Administration and Sales Support to a team of Financial Planning Advisors including preparation of documentation, management of existing client database, dealing directly with client queries, new business submission, quality control and checking, pipeline management and commission management oversight. Daily liaison with Product Providers in relation to new business and existing client queries across investment, pension and protection product lines. Monitoring and oversight of Product Provider service levels to ensure optimal service delivery to Howden and its clients. General administration duties including filing, opening post (physical and virtual), managing incoming phone calls, emails and other tasks as assigned by their manager.
