Key Responsibilities Monitor swimmers and pool area continuously, maintaining constant vigilance to prevent accidents and enforce safety regulations. Enforce pool rules and guidelines to ensure the safety and behavior of guests, including appropriate attire, diving restrictions, and age regulations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, providing information, and offering assistance as needed. Perform regular inspections of pool equipment and facilities to ensure they are in proper working condition. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including administering first aid and performing water rescues if necessary. Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department for immediate resolution. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the pool area, including removing debris and organizing poolside furniture. Collaborate with other hotel staff to coordinate pool activities and events. Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner. Attend regular training sessions and participate in ongoing professional development to maintain certifications and stay current on safety protocols and procedures. Requirements Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized authority or organization. Proven experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting. Strong swimming skills and physical fitness to perform water rescues and respond to emergencies effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with guests and colleagues. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick, sound decisions in emergency situations. Knowledge of pool safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
