  • Associate Project Manager

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Manager, to lead on the execution of projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. The role supports the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution. The position can offer a hybrid nature (3 days working in Dublin office) and travel to sites required. (Note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position) How you’ll make an impact Project Responsibility: Define main guidelines, allocate project tasks, and motivate and monitor internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Provide performance feedback regarding project progress. Planning and Scheduling: Define all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans, jointly with the Project Controls department. Project Execution and Control: Ensure the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy Ireland policies. Monitor and control project progress and resource utilization. Oversee project financials, including invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks, ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued. Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project. Ensure the project is formally closed out as contractually agreed, driving formal acceptance and contract close‑out acknowledgment by the customer. Contract, Claims, and Procurement Management: Consistently apply contract and claims management in accordance with Hitachi Energy Ireland policies and contractual agreements. Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to procure required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims, and project changes. Stakeholder Relations: Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies. Your background Proven Project Management experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the energy sector (desirable, not essential) Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.   • Job Description The Field Service Engineer II (FSE II) spends a significant portion of their time training under close supervision of more senior field service engineers. The FSE typically receives detailed instructions on all work assignments, acquires job skills, and learns company policies and procedures to perform routine tasks. The FSE learns the installation, troubleshooting, repair and calibration process for specific tools, as well as their basic operation. Continuous training programs are given to develop specific instrument skills, knowledge, and service techniques. The FSE is interfacing with customers and developing relationships with co-workers and managers.
